best/worst book in December
What was your best/worst read in December and why?
Bonus question: what are you most looking forward to reading in January?
Best: Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin. Best in the series so far, loved it!
Most disappointing: The Maid's Version by Daniel Woodrell. Just meh.
Bonus: I got 1/3 of the way through Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan before I had to return it to the library. I can't wait to get it back.

Re: best/worst book in December
Best: Call the Midwife
Worst: Maybe Hex Hall? I still enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars, but it was my least favorite. I had a good month.
my read shelf:
Best - Matterhorn
Worst - Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy #2)
CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
Worst - Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum. I know many loved this book but I did not.
Bonus - I'm looking forward to Prodigy by Marie Lu (Legend #2). I have the ebook on hold on the library and I'm stalking my position daily.

Best: Unholy Night: Seth Grahame-Smith. I really enjoyed this story. I had read Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and was expecting another vampire story, but was pleasantly surprised that it was a fictional account of how Joseph and Mary were able to get Jesus away from Herod and get to Egypt.
Worst: After Dead: Charlaine Harris. I don't think I need to explain why with this one.
my read shelf:

Best - Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigani
Worst - Delicious by Jami Alden

My read shelf:

Worst: Probably Allegiant, sadly. I only read 4 books this month, so there's not a lot to pick from. I don't hate it, but of the 4 it's my least favorite.
Looking forward to in January: I don't really have anything planned, but I hope to get to John Adams and The Wolf of Wall Street very soon, so one of those I guess.
