EDIT: Changing it up to a champagne and cupcake party!

In April I am throwing a "champagne and chocolate" themed party and I'm looking for some good menu ideas for chocolate desserts, champagne cocktails and maybe even goodies that combine both. Anyone have any favorite recipes that I should give a whirl? And are there any suggestions on how I should decorate?

Dip the rim of a champagne glass in grenadine, and then coat in sugar.  Because grenadine is pink, it's very pretty.  Then add a shot of raspberry vodka and top with champagne.  It's called a Champagn-o-rama, and they serve them at a funky bar down Philly. 

I've seen belini bars, where there's several pureed fruit options to add to your champagne.

And you have to offer some sort of chocolate fondue.

W served it with sliced apples and a loaf of sourdough bread cut into cubes. I know you are looking for chocolate ideas, but this might complement the sweet things pretty well. You could even make it a fondue theme and do a chocolate fondue as well, served with cubes of angel food cake, strawberries, bananas and marshmallows for dipping.

I think I might be switching to a champagne and cupcake themed party with champagne and sparkling wines, cupcakes and fruit salads. Can anyone think of any other food ideas or decoration ideas? It's going to be an adult only party so I'm looking for a more sophisticated theme.

Sounds pretty, and will tie in nicely with the Spring.

I would do a chocolate dessert table, and a champagne bar with different juices to add in. I think the chocolate bar/dessert table sounds a little more adult than the cupcake party.

maybe look into pairings. Find out what kind of chocolate pairs well with different kinds of champagne. Have sections of the room set up with small "tastes" at each station with the different chocolates that varietal it pairs well with.
