Re: Manic Monday

  • Highs...I got all my trees and Christmas decor down.

lows...I don't like how empty the house looks with the Christmas stuff gone. Other then that, it was a good, quiet weekend. :)

  • highs - see Holy Crap post.

Lows - Eagles losing.  UGH such a hard lost!  But we made it to the playoffs, more than I expected for this year.

  • Highs- Lots of down time with DH

Lows- Birds lost, and I didnt get any decorations down because I wasnt hauling boxes through the snow. My TMJ flared up so I have been in pain all weekend. But pain meds and a heating pad have been helping.

  • Highs: The girls were somewhat cooperative when we took them to the dinner on Saturday. N even told his parents to stop harassing Lil so she could stay calm at dinner.

Lows: Now C is coughing. I just spent 20 minutes Lysoling everything in my house with the windows open. I need these germs OUT of my house.
  • Highs: Got my decorations down.

Lows: I started to get the dreaded cold and found out that M infected basically everyone that was at my parents on New Years.

  • Highs - we had a wonderful weekend. I actually cried this morning because I just wanted the weekend to continue. I even finished a whole book! The first book I've read in a weekend since I had T. It was wonderful.

Lows - H put the wrong town in the GPS yesterday on our way to my cousin's baby's baptism party. We ended up in a town an hour and a half away from where we should have been. I was pissed. We got there but super late and it was almost over. Oh well... at least we got there. I'm also said that the Birds lost but the pain was easier to deal with knowing that Andy also lost - and way worse than we did. I hope that this shows front office that we DON'T need Vick and they will drop him like a bad habit.

  • High: finding out my sister moves out this Friday! And getting the guest room that will be the nursery almost entirely cleared out!

Low: fight with sister. Long story and it doesn't even involve her living with us rather her acting like a child all the time
  • @amccul20 - I loved that because she's moving out. Not because you had a fight with her :(

  • Highs: I felt some definite, no questions about it, baby kicks this weekend! Also, I'll soon get new flooring in my dining room....

Lows: I didn't really have any set plans this weekend, just planned to clean arid the house and do some laundry and stuff, instead I GOT TO CLEAN UP A BUNCH OF WATER THAT RAINED THROUGH OUR FIREPLACE CHIMNEY BECAUSE A PIPE BROKE. It really sucked and it totally could have been avoided, but Stu and I forgot to shut off the water line going to the hose in the back yard in the fall. I worked a few hours of overtime Saturday morning and Stu was trying to sleep because he had to fill in for an overnight shift that night. After I left work, I went and dilly dallied around Target and bought some cleaning supplies I needed. I get home around 2:30 and Stu is standing at the front door with a look of horror on his face and filled me in on what was going on, basically that he woke up and cane downstairs to our fireplace looked like a friggin waterfall. The fireplace is in our dining room/den area, which has laminate floors. We dried up everything as best as we could and had fans on all weekend, but the floor is pretty much destroyed. I'm just glad that none of my furniture got ruined. It sucks because I really didn't plan on replacing the floor there... ever.... but what are you gonna do? At least we can pick out something we actually like now. I'm still pissed that this whole thing could have been avoided, but I think they must have used the wrong type of piping to run back there anyway..... UHHGGG the joys of home ownership.
