Anyone want to discuss Downton Abbey? (sp thru S4,E1)

I was underwhelmed by last night's episode.  It was 2 hours of eh, for me.

Thomas, of course, up to his shenanigans.  What a creep.  And now he wants Anna fired?  Didn't Bates help keep him around and now he's just screwing them over?  Again?

Carson's story felt out of place.  It wrapped up in one episode (or maybe it will continue) but I just didn't care.  Though Mrs. Hughes is getting some balls, haha!  Not that she wasn't strong-willed before but asking Mrs. Crawley to take that guy in....

Rose and Edna need to go.

You know she's going to get Branson in trouble somehow.  I disliked O'Brien but she never screwed over the family.  Except when she thought Cora was going to sack her.

I agree it was kind of underwhelming for a 2 hr premiere. I missed the last 10 mins but doubt I missed anything too important.
I don't know how I feel about Rose. I kind of don't care about her. As for Edna. Bitch has to go.

I kind of like mischevious Thomas. I started to like him last season and now I want to Love to hate him.

My heart was broken for Mary. I am glad to see her try and fix herself again.

The Dowager Countess was great in this one. Honestly I wanted to give her a standing ovation.

Awww what can I say?!? I am just as surprised as you are. I never thought I would feel this way.

Also I am so glad Cora caught Nanny West. She was rubbing me the wrong way.

I still like Cora, naive as she is.  I'm really loving Edith these days.  She's really become her own person, much less vindictive.  I also really like how strong Branson has become, he's taking his role seriously.

I can't stand Thomas.  Can't.stand.  His character should DIAF.   I still love Daisy and Mrs. Patmore.  Their relationship makes me smile.

I feel like Thomas is a creep and has what's coming to him but it does seem like he's been through some crap. He was a coward and got his own hand shot on purpose, got scammed, barely made it through the scandal with the other server, etc. You're supposed to hate him but also feel sorry for him in a way, because he's such a scheming coward. He'll pay in the end.

I love Downton Abbey just because it's so dang good at manipulating emotions and making you feel exactly how they want you to feel, when they want you to feel it.

I love Steven Moffat. Coupling anyone?

I'm almost done watching season 4 and I don't know what i'll do with myself once it's over.

@Hoycie that siggy!  LOVE!  I just watched the episode and I'm right there with most of you.  I didn't like the nanny and I wasn't sad to see her go although I wanted Thomas to get caught making up stories.
