Where is your favorite place to travel and why?

I am looking for travel ideas for future vacations and am just curious as to your guys favorites... I am definitely a beach loving girl and I am also fond of AI. My favorite is Antigua Sandals for all the water activities, free drinks, and fun things to do.

I think Antarctica has been my favorite. The scenery is gorgeous, the wildlife is fascinating, and the remoteness is astonishing. There's nothing quite like standing on the deck of a ship knowing that there are only a handful of people within a thousand miles.
It's not completely AI, since it only includes food, cabin, and sightseeing, but alcohol was pretty cheap. Especially during happy hour! The beach is a bit cold though.

For a pure beach destination, I would love to go back to the Seychelles. The beaches are stunning, and I've heard such fantastic things about the diving (from professional divers who've worked all over the world).

But for traveling in general, I think I might put Turkey at the top of my list. There's so much culture and history, the food is amazing, there's fabulous natural scenery, and the country has so much diversity that each region is like a trip all in itself!

  • I went to the Sandals in St. Lucia and loved it! Will definitely go back! We also love most of the carribean islands so we always take cruises to visit them all!
  • Maui! We went for our honeymoon in 2012 and will go back next year. We love it beyond words. The Four Seasons in Wailea was incredible.
  • In the states I love new orleans. I also love San Antonio.

I absolutely love almost anywhere in Europe.

  • Our favorite place to travel is Disney, based on the fact that we try to visit each year as our second vacation (non-international).

We love visiting destinations all over the world, as each offers something unique, but Disney seems to be the only place we constantly return to year after year.

We love Europe, we loved Asia (we recently visited Thailand and Hong Kong this past May), but no matter where we go, we're always going BACK to Disney! We enjoy visiting the parks, but also love the things it has to offer, especially for adults with no kids yet! We enjoy visiting the amazing restaurants, testing out the different hotels, and trying new things! We actually leave in 3 days for our next trip and this time we're chartering a yacht to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks - definitely something different each time!

  • British Virgin Islands - we rented a sailboat complete with captain and his wife who crewed/cooked. Went at our own pace and was like an AI just for us.
  • I LOVE Paris, but that seems so cliche. The place I could always go back to in the US is Hilton Head.  I just love the ambiance.  The trees are so beautiful with the spanish moss dripping down.   We are DVC members, so we stay at the Disney resort and there is a cute little shopping/restaurant strip on the marina that's right next to the resort.  We did a dolphin cruise one year and the kids have fun activities, too.  We went a few years in a row, but haven't been back in a while.  I also love Disney World.  We go at least once per year, usually twice.  The magic of Disney gets me  :)

  • I love Belize. Crystal clear water, palm trees, thatch roof beach bars. Pure heaven.
I also adore Louisville, Kentucky. It's not as glitzy as Vegas or as lively as New York City but there are a ton of fantastic restaurants and a ton of fun things to do. It's a really really fun town.
