Las Vegas/Arizona/New Mexico in March MUST DO/SEE ??

Husband and a friend and I are going to spend three days in Vegas, we are going to Cirque show O and kind of was just going to do other activities on the fly while we were there. We are staying at Harrah's so pretty good location on the strip any recommendations for something that is a MUST DO/SEE?

After Vegas we are driving to Page, Arizona to see Antelope Canyon (kayak/hike) and also visit the Grand Canyon, any other tips for this area (spending two days here)?

Lastly we are spending two days visiting friends in Albuqurque, New Mexico I've been once before but we only spent minimal time in ABQ because we went south to visit my friend's parents in T or C. Any MUST SEE/DOs for ABQ? My friends are fairly new to the area so they only have a limited view of the city.

  • As for Vegas: Have you ever seen horse vaulting? It's gymnastics on horses and really awesome to watch if you have never seen it. Big Horse Productions perform in Vegas and include horse vaulting, fire dancing and other aerial stunts. It's really neat!

    For Albuquerque:
Definitely check out the crest. You can get their by taking the tram up to the top of the Sandia mountains that overlook the city. Don't plan on eating at the top unless you want to spend a lot of $$ for crappy food. Take a jacket too because its about 10 degrees colder on top of the mountain.
Old Town is also very neat to see and has a lot of culture in it. You can eat at one of the little restaurants and have chile with your food. Yum... chile!! :)
If you have extra time, the bosque is nice to walk through by the river, or there are also petroglyphs you can see.

  • I'm not sure your age but I went to Slide Rock park in Sedona  and that was a lot of fun! Water was freezing when we were there but it was a neat thing to see and do.

  • If you don't mind driving toward Santa Fe, Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks is a great hike to do, takes about 2-3 hours total to hike up and then back down. The crest and tram around great too. So is a hot air balloon ride if you don't mind the cost. There are some amazing New Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque too.
  • There is a drive thru animal park called Bearizona in Williams, AZ... near Flagstaff.  Thats fun if you like that kind of stuff.  And as for Vegas... I mean its VEGAS, its fun just sitting and people watching! hehehehe.  If you're staying at Harrah's (which is my fav hotel to stay) they have an awesome buffet called Flavors and they also have a really fun place across the street at the Flamingo called Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville.  While you're there you can go out to the lawn and see if you can people watch if they are having a wedding!  :)
