Re: GTKY: Job

  • I'm a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Developmental Pediatrics.... I LOVE my job, and hope to be able to continue in this field until I retire (about 30+ years from now) :). Since I love my job so much, I haven't really thought about anything else I would do, but when I was a kid I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer, lol. Now, off to read what everyone else does!

    TTC since 3/2012

    IVF 1.0 5R/5F/2T (ET 6/11/2014) - no frosties, but BFP 8dp5dt (EDD 3/1/2015)
Lost our sweet baby boy, Lincoln Alexander 10/3/2014 (19w)
    IVF 2.0 - ER 3/25/2015 - 3R ZERO mature.
    Ovaries are done...
    DE IVF ER - 12/2/2016 (17R/10F = 8 frosties); FET 1.0 (1/27/2017) - BFP 6dp5dt (EDD 10/16/2017)
  • @OceanHutt and @lilliesandvino - Are either of you BCBA's or ABA direct service providers? If so, have you looked West for jobs? I refer kids all of the time for ABA, and there are long waiting lists everywhere because of the shortage of providers!

  • I'm an In Home Behavioral Therapist and while we don't do strict ABA, we incorporate ABA into our work with our families.  I work under a BCBA and I work as a part of wraparound services. We're not really looking to relocate.....my job is fine enough for now until I find a guidance position. :) but thank you so much @futuremrswright2012 :):)

Getting fit for IVF! :) (add another 20lbs and you have my total weight lost! :) )

  • I sell SaaS software to businesses and own a small company on the side that DH and I run. I love what I do and wouldn't want any other real job (I would love to win the lotto, play with animals all day or some other fantasy job).

  • What do you do for a living? I work in the BioMedical Research field as a Procurement Specialist.

Do you like it? I love working in a field that tirelessly strives to create life saving medications. I don't love the negative stigma regarding research.

If you could do anything else, what would you pick? Event planner or novelist.

Nope. I really love working with people struggling with substance abuse/dependence. I can't imagine going into a school now. And my husband has a great job that he doesn't want to leave. Thanks though and keep making MH referrals! It's so important to address issues early.

  • What do you do for a living? I am a bank teller.

Do you like it? Some days more than others.

If you could do anything else, what would you pick? My dream is to be a successful novelist and a SAHM. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will one day be both!
