Have any of you done hot yoga?

Omg, I tried this for the first time this week. I mean, I have done yoga, regular yoga and yes it starts out kind of hard, but no worries. I did this hot yoga class, holy cow I thought I was going to pass out, and have never sweat so much in my entire life. I feel fabulous since, but dang, I didn't think yoga could kick my azz the way it did. Just wanted to share. Lol, it really tripped me out how it was... xo Happy HUMP DAYYYYYY!!!

I've always wanted to try it, but my studio doesn't offer it. I'd have to drive 30 minutes to go, and I really am kind of attached to my yoga instructor now.

ETA: Hit post before I was done! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Let us know if you continue to do it and still like it. Maybe it's worth the drive for me.

  • I've always wanted to try, I actually got a coupon for free hot yoga for a month but the instructor skeeved me out and it was 20 minutes out of the way so I never went! I imagine it's super tough, but that's awesome you're feeling great after doing a session!

  • @goodwolf use the free coupon! Mine isn't cheap, that may be the only reason I stop. Lol, it was $20 for the week. I've gone twice now and want to make sure I use it. I would like to keep up on it, since I really think I would see results like way FAST! Mine is about 15 minutes from home too, with lights and such, it is in the city next to mine. @poppies717 I hear ya! I love yoga, I don't do it enough, I get on work out things for a sec then always stop. If I can at least keep up with something I will be way pumped. It is hard to find an instructor you love, since they can all be soo different. Try it out! You may like it, it really kicks your ass! ;)

  • @cloudymeatballs - It was for the month of August, right after they opened and I never got around to going :( I think hot yoga in the hottest month of the year also wasn't appealing at the time... ;)

  • @goodwolf ya know what, I would not be going either if it was hot right now. Lol Good call! ;)

  • I do it and I love it! I find the intensity really depends on the instructor and type of hot yoga because I've had killer classes and much easier classes.  I love it no matter what though.  I really like being hot so I especially love it in the winter when I want to escape the cold :)  Glad you like it cloudy!
