Hospitals and Holidays

So I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! We did...sort of...

On Christmas morning, I dropped Sandy off to spend some time with her parents while I went to see my Mom. We were in a bit of a time crunch so we were trying to kill 2 birds at the same time...lol.

Within 30 mins of me leaving Sandy, she texts me that she has had to call 911!! Her Mom got bucked off the horse (her parents live in the country) they JUST GOT and she broke her elbow in 3 places and shattered her pelvis!! So we have tried to squeeze in some Christmas time around going back and forth to the hospital.

Her mom was getting on the horse to show her grandson that it was safe to do so (how ironic huh??) and her Dad was like..nah...you don't need a saddle....I'll hold the horse and you just hop on. Well...it did not turn out well at ALL!

What a mess. Poor thing is going to have a long road to recovery. She's already had one surgery on her elbow and goes in tomorrow for an 8 hour surgery to wire her pelvis back together.

But we DID have some good times too. They were just a bit tainted by the situation....oh well...there's always New Years!! DrinksParty!!!
