http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/things-from-you-childhood-that-are-extinct-now

Some of these I loved (and didn't know they are no longer available) and some I had no idea they even existed!

What is an item on this list that you absolutely loved???

Re: 35 Foods From Your Childhood That Are Extinct Now

  • I only recognize about 4 or 5 of those things.  The rest I never even knew existed.  I do miss my jello pudding pops and tan m&m's.

  • HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT CRIPSY M&MS NO LONGER EXIST?!?

Orbitz was gross.  I'm glad it no longer exists.

  • You can't get Jello Pudding Pops anymore?  How have I not noticed this?

  • RIP, Jello Pudding Pops.

I remember all these things, and some that I loved were Clearly Canadian, those Pop-Tarts (my second favorite after frosted brown sugar and cinnamon), Bubble Jug, and Planters Cheez Balls. And I forgot about tan M&Ms!

  • Loved Clearly Canadian. Back in high school when they redesigned the bottles and they made they all fancy like, I decorated my book shelf with them because I thought they looked cool. Also crispy M&Ms & PB Crisps. Ahh, high school.

  • I remember going to our local youth center.  All the kids walked around playing arcade games and sipped out of our refined Clearly Canadian bottles.  We thought we were so cool.  I can't believe they don't make pudding pops and cheez ball anymore.  WTH.

  • I had no idea about tan m&m's  :\">
    I loved squeezeit!!!

  • I drank Crystal Pepsi like it was going out of style.  Which, in the end, it did.

@booneybear @RiverPlate  I miss Jello Pudding Pops the most out of everything on that list.  I tried to make them at home once and they turned out terrible. :(

  • That would explain why when DH decided he wanted pudding pops last year, we couldn't find them! Don't ask me why he wanted them?!
I loved rice Krispy treats cereal! It was awesome!
You can also add me to the refined drinking club with Clearly Canadian.

  • I remember most of these, but not all.  MH and I were just recently talking about 3D Doritos.  I don't remember how the subject came up though.  I had Skittles around Halloween for the first time in a long time and I was SO thrown off by the fact that the green color is apple now instead of lime.  WTH?  I don't like that at all.  It doesn't seem to fit in with the other flavors as well.

I loved the Oreo-Os and Rice Crispy Treats cereal.  I also remember eating all the other cereals they have listed.  Obviously I ate a lot of crap cereal growing up.  I miss crap cereal :/

I had no idea tan M&Ms existed.  Everyone knows the brown M&Ms are the lamest ones.  Why would they introduce tan?

  • I loved so many of these things, ectocooler, crystal pepsi, French toast cereal, etc.  I remember drinking orbitz was really cool in junior high even though that stuff was nasty.

    I don't remember tan m&m's either.

  • No more lime skittles? Green apple sounds gross!

I'm not sad that most of the drinks are gone.  Though I did love Squeeze-its.  We were a school lunch family and my mom never bought the "cool stuff" so I only got Squeeze-Its at friends houses and field trips when I was forced to have a bagged lunch.  Those and Lunchables, which as an adult takes like crap.

  • I loved Clearly Canadian.  And I liked Orbitz.

Pudding Pops were clearly the best thing on that list, though.
  • OMG. Clearly Canadian, that was my favorite as a kid. Loved it.

Annnndd I also liked the 3d doritos. Sad.

Ohhh shittt, I was just listing things as I went through. Orbitz was even better than Clearly Canadian. Mannn I miss those drinks!

  • I haven't even thought about them in years, but I used to love Sprinkle Spangles as a kid.

Also, not on the list, but I was so sad when they discontinued Chef Boyardee Chicken Parmesan. It was like a food group for me in college.

  • I LOVED Pudding Pops and DH & I still talk about them. Other than that- I don't recognize any others. Most look disgusting!

  • I miss soooo many of these. Fruitopia though. Man, if you weren't drinking that in middle school and high school, you were definitely the odd one out.

Clearly Canadian!!  It was one of my favorite drinks as a kid!  There is a campaign to bring it back and if they get pre-orders of 25,000 cases, they will go back into production!

  • Ack.  That is a lot of nasty crap.

Although I did like Clearly Canadian....  and we still have Fruitopia...  (the strawberry-passion fruit and the tangerine ones are most popular -- you can get them at movie theatres and in the frozen juice aisle at the grocery stores.  Both are pretty tasty.  Although I am sure they'd fail any and every heath test out there!)

  • Oh man. Fruitopia and Squeeze its were a staple during childhood! I still remember the commercials. Also, sour Altoids were seriously addictive and tore your mouth to pieces.
  • LOVED 3D Doritos. The ranch flavor. I still talk about them every now and then because I get crazy cravings for them.

Does anyone remember OK Soda? I loved that too.

The tan M&Ms seem familiar. I remember that in the 90s there was a huge campaign because they were going to introduce a new color, and everyone could vote between pink, purple, and blue. Blue won, and good-bye tan.

Eek!  You just made me remenber this sauce that Ragu used to make - baked ziti in a jar thing where you combined the sauce, raw pasta, and covered it with cheese and stuck it in the oven.  I completely attribute about 20 pounds to this invention.

And I totally had a dream the other night about Ben and Jerry's Festivus ice cream, now relegated to the Flavor Graveyard.  Darn you Ben and Jerry!

Yep, I remember the vote. I don't know that I was sad to see tan go.  There was already brown, it was a little redundant. I mean, I totally get that it was an original, but I like blue better.

  • The fruit-shaped Trix makes me feel old, because I remember them as round. I think I've only seen fruit-shaped once, and I think I chalked it up to some kind of limited edition marketing thing.

They still sell Surge in Norway, complete with the same label design. As "Urge." You can find it in just about every grocery or corner store. So if anyone wants some...
