Vegas: New York New York Help

We are planning to go to Vegas on March 15-19th and planning on staying in New York New York but was hoping to get a better deal on the hotel.  Where should I be looking for promotions?  We are willing to look at other hotels if there are good promos but haven't found anything yet.  Can anyone help?

Re: Vegas: New York New York Help

  • I have heard that if you sign up for email promotions from the hotels itself, they send them.  We got ours on Southwest.com. We were just there last week. Let me know if you need some recommendations!
  • Awesome, I will do that.  Would love any recommendations you may have.  We are going with 3 other couples from March 15-19th.  Most of us have been to Vegas before but not in the past 4-5 years.  Would love to hear your input.
  • We ate at Five 50 Pizza in Aria (a  new hotel). It was great pizza.  Javier's in Aria has amazing mexican food. It is a little bit more expensive.  There is Pub1824 but I didn't think it was very good. The service wasn't great either. Check out the new hotels! They are beautiful!  We saw Zumanity at NYNY.  Excellent show.  We picked up tickets the day before the show, and got 3 row seats.

We stayed at Excalibur.  We weren't impressed but we don't care about the hotel too much.  They had a $35/pp buffet for 2 days at Excalibur and Luxor.  This included lunch, dinner, and breakfast.  If you were into buffets and were staying there, its a good deal. We only ate at the Luxor buffet, and did not think it was worth it.

THEhotel (another new hotel) had a place called MIX.  I wanted to try it but of course we ran out of time.  Mandalan Bay had the Boiler room that looked fantastic. I saw excellent ratings as well. We'll be trying those when we go back.

The Harrahs piano bar is fantastic! Paris has an amazing champagne brunch, I believe its 25 per person. Aria also has an awesome brunch, it runs 30-35 per person. Restaurant wise for breakfast food there is Hash House a Go Go inside the quad. Large shareable portions and yummy.

If you have a car, I am going to seriously highly suggest you go to a place called Jerry's Nugget. It is a small casino north of the vegas strip that has a diner with the best prime rib you will ever eat, no joke, and its only about 13 bucks.
