I need dress help

Ben and I are going to a wedding at the end of the month. he's in the wedding and the tux is white and he's wearing a light blue tie.

the bride just sent me a text asking that I also wear something white, and sparkly, to match Ben even though i'm not in the wedding.

who wants to help me find something. its winter and i'm pregnant, I think my selection is going to be limited.

I told her I'd try my best.

But in white obviously. The picture of just the white dress isnt as pretty. You can get a pretty sparkly belt to go with it and sparkly shoes.

Not sure how much you're showing by now (I cant get away with non maternity clothes anymore) but I thought this was super cute from Target. Also comes in white.

Hmm, maybe stockings and a cardigan to go along with it? Or a shawl? I didnt see many dress options out there that are weather appropriate. Should be a beautiful wedding though, I love the Poconos.

I think it's super crazy. I didn't want to say anything though in case you were really close with her or something. Does she know you're pregnant? Because I think it's even crazier to ask a pregnant woman to wear something white and sparkly.

@amcourt09 her husband is one of bens best and oldest friends and so yes they know I'm pregnant. It's weird.

Janet mentioned that I should go look at prom dresses to see if I can find anything, so if neither of these dresses work then I'm off to the mall.

I do think its crazy to request certain clothing from anyone. I look washed out in white. I was going to suggest David's bridal in Prices Corner. They had a section of formal wear gowns. I bought one there 2 years ago to wear to my cousins"black tie" wedding. The prices weren't too bad. They have a strict return policy so make sure your certain it one you want.

I'm surprised the bride even wants other girls wearing white, I thought it was a general rule that nobody besides the bride wears white at a wedding.

Do you think she's trying to get a nice picture of you guys while you are pregnant and dressed up that she wants to give you as a gift? I can't think of any other reason to request a certain outfit. Are there other groomsmen in this wedding? Are their SO's being asked to wear something specific?

I don't know. I honestly don't think she's that thoughful or would have the foresight to plan somethign like that.

I hope the other wives/girlfriends are wearing white! I don't want to be the only woman at the wedding besides the bride in white! haha i'll have a heart attack.
