Last week my ex- coworker sent me a job opportunity from his current job thinking I had good experience for it. I thought it was a little bit of a reach. It deals with somethings I never dealt with but I do have the basic qualifications  so I sent it anyway. Well last night I got an e-mail that they would like to bring me in for an interview and they will call to set it up. I am so excited and now keep checking my e-mail and phone every minute. I really wasn't looking for a new job but my current job is a little unstable and I haven't seen a raise in forever and I been here for 8 years it's probably a good time to move on. The pay band looks like it would be a nice little jump for me and I know the benefits would be awesome. Im trying not to get too excited because I know I'm missing a few things they could find someone that would be a better fit.  This would be a really awesome change and my H and I really need some good news so crossing my fingers!

Sometimes its who you know vs. what you know so if you have a good word there already with your ex-coworker, that might just be the thing that gets you hired over someone who might "know more"....so with that, best of luck!
