Best place for photo enlargements?

We took apart our entertainment center in the living room leaving a big blank wall. I wanted to get our Christmas picture enlarged and framed (most defintely can be done separately) so we can hang it there. Any recommendations of companies who can do this for a reasonable price?

Re: Best place for photo enlargements?

  • I love mpix.com. I've been using them for our enlargement printing for several years and have been very happy. I've done 8x10 and 11x14.

  • I was also going to recommend mpix...and I also used them for an 8x10 and 11x14.  I am always pleased with their quality and their prices are reasonable.
  • We've used winkflash for printing and have been happy.  (It has been a while though since i've printed.)

Another option would be to print the photos on canvas.  It is more $$ up front, but framing can be pretty $$$ too.

Or, I would print the pic and then frame it myself so I could swap it out pretty easily.  You can buy mat scraps at Michael's/JoAnns.  The tool to cut matting was not very much $ and it was pretty easy to do.  It is pretty much just straight line cutting.

  • Ditto mpix. Definitely good quality prints.

  • I don't know about it personally but my friend recommends Costco for this.
