Light therapy for SAD winter blues

I always get kind of blah during the winter, but this year it's seems worse than normal.  despite my best efforts, I can't get dh to move to Florida.  I've heard that light therapy can really help.  There are about a million choices on amazon with quit a range of prices.  Does anyone have one of these lights?  Does it work?

Re: Light therapy for SAD winter blues

  • I'm very interested in this! I was looking at the beginning of winter but was overwhelmed. My friends dad uses one and really thinks it makes a difference.

Can I piggyback a question for anyone who is familiar or uses them? It seems that for max effect you should use them to wake up in the morning. Dh and I wake up at different times. So I don't know how that would work. I've seen some say as long as you use within a certain time of waking up, but not sure if that actually works/is worth it.
