Does Your H Have a Hobby?

Mine is in the Army Reserves and that keeps him occupied at least one evening a week, but otherwise he watches TV and plays on the tablet.  I often come out of my craft room to find him snoring on the couch.

I told him he needs a hobby, but he doesn't know what he would like to do (and he didn't like my idea of being my craft helper).

What does your H do?

He likes to play video games, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for, either.

But I get plenty of time without him, bc he works so much. Good for me. Not so healthy for him.

It seems like his hobby is planning "hobbies".  Right now, it's making a keyboard for his computer that looks like an old-fashioned typewriter.  I just smile because I doubt it'll happen right now...we have incredibly limited space in our apartment.  I'm sure that if we had a garage, he would be using his carpentry skills all the time.  He's also in to home brewing.

I don't count his video game "obsession" as a hobby.

I would say his hobby would be video games. He also likes putting together Star Wars Legos. 

Every two weeks he has friends over and they play a Star Wars RPG.

DH is in an orchestra, plays computer games, and also likes to play cards. We also both enjoy reading, but our book tastes are very different.

DH is into woodworking, traditional archery, and electronics.  Our garage is his workshop and he loves having all of his tools set up and ready to use.  He makes everything from built-ins to, his current project, wooden arrows.  He's also got a list from me to make: more bookshelves for our office, spice rack for the kitchen, and a frame for a painting his sister did for us.  As far as electronics, he likes Arduino-type stuff.  That's about as far as I can go with his electronics.  I don't and won't even begin to pretend to understand it.  He can only do so much with archery in the Winter.  That's more his Spring through Fall thing.

DH loves to do airplane modeling and go fishing. Well, modeling was put on hold once fishing season rolled around last year, and he fished as late into the year as he possibly could (what with it getting pretty darn cold out!), so he didn't do much modeling last year. His back shed room/man cave holds aaaaaalll his modeling and fishing gear, along with his gun locker. 

Lately, all he's been doing is playing an online airplane flying/fighting game, like, all. the. time. If he's going to be in his own little world for hours on end, I think I'd rather he was just out in his room building airplanes.

He plays wheelchair basketball and lacrosse.  Wouldn't recommend that for everyone, though

My DH likes video games, sex, and sports. That's really about it.

Cars. The winter months it's taking it apart and putting it back together with more modifications to it. Then in the summer it's driving it (that part I really enjoy too).

He also likes to golf in the summer. 

He used to be a big video game guy, and thankfully he's gotten away from that quite a bit.  Occasionally he'll pull one out and play.

Mine likes video games and computer related things.  He recently got into home brewing though and is really enjoying that.

Video games, reading, paintball, sex, and he has magic the gathering nights with his friends. We want to start a game night at our house with people soon too.

DH is in finance but hates it and wants to start a construction business.

His hobby is design, he designs floor plans, builds furniture, and during his free time he has been dabbling in contractor services. He is a big DIY guy. When he is being lazy he plays on the iPad.

Mine plays hockey and watches sports. He'll occasionally play video games, but they are still sport games.  He's obsessed. 

He loves woodworking/construction.  He built me a custom console table last year. We also have a joint hobby of home remodeling which takes up the other 90% of our free time.

Mine plays trumpet and practices most evenings but otherwise in the winter he falls asleep watching tv. During the summer we bike and camp a lot so it gets a little better. We also do a lot of home remodels but mostly weekend warrior types of things-when he gets home from work he doesn't like to have to do much.

Oh man, my H was a Magic the Gathering fiend when he was younger, apparently.  We recently got Cards Against Humanity...awesome game, but not for the easily offended.

All seasons: walking or otherwise playing with the dogs.

Video games and indoor "projects" in the winter-building things. Organizing his workshop, modifying his four wheeler.
Spring-getting the yard nice and preparing our toys for summer
Summer- boating and camping
Fall- getting the house ready for winter

He loves his projects. Most recent ones were building a storage room in the attic, making a mini motorcycle from scrap metal and parts, making an adjustable bed frame, and adding a lift kit to his four wheeler.

My H loves to play softball with the guys. Every week. Golf when he can. SPORTS! He loves sports... ALL Sports. He can watch any sport on the tv all day anyday. Good thing I'm into most sports too, lol otherwise we'd have huge arguments over what to watch on tv. Ha ha.

He's into home brew, video games, and poker.  He used to go to a poker night and has talked about setting one up in the future.  He also plays video games with his friends a few times a month.  We have a joint hobby of maintaining a large salt water fish tank.  We are also remodeling our home, which we enjoy most of the time, so I guess that could also be a hobby.

My DH works a lot so he doesn't have lots of time for hobbies but he's on his work Rugby team, runs, mountain bikes and ski/snowboards when he gets the chance.

He also loves reading and plays video games.

Tom has a bunch of hobbies. He's into all sports, likes playing them/watching them/Fantasy Leagues/etc. He also is in a dart league and loves going fishing in the summer. He also likes playing computer games.

He has game night probably 4 or so nights a week (we work opposite schedules so only really see each other on the weekends -- he's not like abandoning me or anything :P ) where he's playing either an RPG (think Dungeons & Dragons but he's playing a different one right now), a war game, or board games. 

He's also the biggest beer snob ever.
