Small update to LO's orange feet (update in comments)
We took her to the doctor yesterday and she said it was definitely not from eating too many carrots. She had blood drawn for labs for her thyroid, liver function and mercury. I should hear back about at least the thyroid today. The mercury could take up to a week to come back.
The doctor said that if it all comes back normal then her best guess is that she either stepped in something that her feet had a chemical reaction to OR that she stepped in something and then something else and those two substances caused her feet to react that way. Like how citric acid on your skin makes it react to the sun differently but two other things.
So now we wait for test results.
Luckily, other than the orange feet she is doing just fine so if it is something serious it isn't really affecting her much.

She gave me the number to a pediatric dermatologist and said to take lots of pictures of her feet because by the time I get in to see them it will likely be gone but it is worth a visit because the derm should be able to tell us what would make skin turn orange!
I am so relieved I could cry

I called the derm but they said her doctor needed to refer her first so then I had to call her pedi back and they said they would put the referral in. So now I wait for a phone call back from the derm to set up an appt. They said if it isn't urgent then their first available appt is in April so it might be a while.
