Also, tomorrow is the last day at my firm for 2 of my superiors - one is going back into the Peace Corps and the other was offered, out of the blue, a position she couldn't refuse.  I'm really happy for both of them, but they are 2 of my very favorite people, look out for me all the time, and are a major part of the reason why I love where I work.  Not that the others who will step in and lead my team won't be fantastic, I just don't think that they could possibly live up to the precendent.  I really hope my career doesn't suffer because I am losing their mentoring and network of contacts.

Word.  J knows not to mess with me and food.  And for the last time I DO NOT SHARE FRENCH FRIES DH!

I had a mini bag (like the single serving with 10 peices) of Cadbury Mini eggs and J asked for a few.  I gave him one and he was lucky to get that!  He huffed about how stingy I was. Get your own bag! I've been saving this one all week!

You make a good point. I will totally play favorites with Wes over J.  If he points to the chocolate I will give him the whole bag.  He's had chocolate a few times and his face is absolutely priceless.  Between chocolate, peanut butter, and bananas, I think he would die of bliss.

I hide snacks from DH sometimes because I want them all to myself.

An email went out this morning that someone was eating food that wasn't theirs out of the work fridge.  Come to find out, this person is sampling peoples lunches.  WTF, who does that? I mean take a lean cuisine by accident, or a yogurt gets mixed up, fine.  But that's just gross and mean!

Last week my principal asked me to teach a creative writing class next year. Today he asked me to also teach a section of advanced reading, which is pretty much reading books and analyzing/talking about them. Curriculum = my choice.

I just got a project through DonorsChoose.com funded to get a classroom set of Divergent! I'm so excited!!!  I'm amazed at the generosity of people!

I have another project going too, to try and get enough for each student to have one assigned to them so we can do some outside reading.  But, for now, I'm happy with a classroom set!

I absolutely do this too.  I bring good snacks to my office because then I will get to fully enjoy them, while at home I'm lucky to get a little before DH eats it all on me.

We had someone who was fired for 'unethical behavior,' stealing lunches was the final nail in her coffin.
Those of us who worked closely with her were completely shocked that she was the culprit.

@NorthernLghts When I was pregnant, I once cried because I was afraid to eat the chicken DH had prepared.  Crazy pregnancy hormones!  But, your case sounds like you had grounds to be upset.  Promising someone food and then changing your mind is not cool!

I hid my favorite ice cream behind some fries and vegetables the last time my nieces came over because I didn't want to share.  I'm a terrible aunt.

And now I need to go eat some ice cream.  Just thinking about it makes me hungry.

Ah. Well, that depends on a few things. But I applied all over the place last year and it was totally useless. Not sure if I want to go through that waste of time again.

I went to the DMV today to get my license renewed and sat for an hour silently judging the people who came without the appropriate paperwork.  I brought everything listed on the website with extra proofs of address/ID just in case.  When it was finally my turn, I took my driver's license as my proof of ID but they wouldn't accept it because it's not from GA, it's from TN.  So I brought out my passport and birth certificate, which they also wouldn't accept because they had my maiden name on them.  So tomorrow I have to repeat the entire process with my marriage license in tow.  I'm still fuming over the whole thing.

@julie37619  I feel you.  The DMV is a freaking joke.  It took me three tries before I finally got my license AND registration.  

Clearly, the frustration has not resolved itself yet many months later.
