I had no idea the average is 3 cycles for IVF. And I will never cease to be amazed at how many people are unmonitored with clomid.

I need to repeat that 3 cycle statistic to myself over and over.  I have often felt like a failure because I didn't get knocked up on cycle 1, when everything was a textbook case.

My biggest regret is that we didn't switch REs after the first ivf, because that's when our money ran out. A second opinion really opened our eyes, but it was to late.

Sorry to hear that @seahorse01... We haven't tried IVF at our current RE's yet, but the only thing keeping us there was their "success rates" and "shared risk" program. We aren't huge fans of the docs (have felt more like sales people) and the cost at their clinic. Plus, I really have a strong feeling that there is more going on than just DOR since I have NEVER been pregnant and I'm now 33. I need someone to look a little further into the possibility of an implantation failure problem, rather than just selling me on IVF... We'll see I guess.

I sooooo needed to read this. I feel immense guilt over my reaction to PG announcements. It's something my therapist is really working with me on. Apparently, I'm developing a phobia of pregnancy announcements (not pregnant women, just announcements).
