WIFJR: Lethal Rider (sp)

@RevJen - I think you've read this.  Don't read on if you haven't!

I wouldn't say this one was torture to get through, but I didn't really care for it.  It didn't live up to my expectations on her previous books.  Honestly, I think it was that she was pregnant the whole time that really made it not work for me.  I don't know if that I didn't feel the least bit sexy when I was pregnant, or just that I can't think past the constant references to it during sex scenes, but it just didn't work for me. Also, she was mystically healed in one week. I know it's a romance book so waiting months isn't really good, but it was a bit obnoxious.

I didn't really like Thanatos.  He was awesome in the previous books, but he didn't do it for me in his own.  I did like Regan, much more than Than.

I wish we got a little bit more of Reseph in the end. I think an epilogue would have been a great idea.  I didn't quite follow why Reaver brought him back.  I know there was a mistake with the dagger, but why does he risk himself to bring him back? Is it because he's their watcher and feels the need to protect them? I was really trying to finish last night, so I might have read the last 15-20 pages in a haze.

I want to read Reaver's book.  I kind of want to skip Reseph's after this last one, but alas, I can't!  Also, I know it's been awhile since I've read any of them, but I had no recollection of who Idess was or Wraith's mate (still can't remember her name!).  I feel like a bad PNR fan here!

    Don't skip Reseph's book.  A lot of the questions you have will be answered in the next couple of books but Reaver's won't make sense without Reseph's.

    ((((((((SPOILERS)))))))))))

    The reason that Reaver saved Reseph is supposedly because he felt that Reseph felt remorse for what he did.  It wasn't his fault that his seal broke so he could be redeemed.  But it gets seriously effed up in Reseph's book.

    I actually finished Reaver's late last week and it's my favorite of the series so far.

  • Oh, fine. I won't skip Reseph's. ;)

    I have a book or two to read in between, but I'm going to request Reseph's from the library.  Maybe I will get to it next week sometime.
