@ashleymatt1215 - my mom is spending the night tonight. She's going to take a night shift tonight with him, which might reboot both of us.

And I already had a caffeine headache last night so cutting back on coffee will be hard. I love the employees at Dutch bros. I like to visit! ;)
The RE recommended NOT cutting out caffeine entirely cold turkey for that reason, but rather cutting back if I was already a coffee drinker. I'd definitely suggest the same. I cut my regular morning 16 oz from full caff to half caff a few months ago in trying to be better with how much I was drinking, so then quitting the coffee and switching to a chai tea (black tea has the highest caffeine content at 40-60 mg per cup) I didn't have to worry about headaches or anything.

  • @LuckyAngel07 no sushi? that's it, I'm out!
I know!! I freaking looooooove sushi. I really don't know what I'm going to do. In all likelihood, I'll probably sneak a single piece of whatever DH orders if we totally cave and MUST go to our favorite sushi place. I think a single piece of tuna roll along with a couple of veggie rolls for myself should be just fine!

We've gotten sushi a couple of times, because it was the only thing that sounded edible! I only get veggie rolls, so I don't really feel bad ;)

  • Jumping in...
I've always heard that if you get sushi from a tried and true sushi place where you have never been sick from then you will be ok.
I won't be cutting it out when (if) I ever get pg.

  • @pennstated912 My mom and dad came for a visit when Elle was about 3 weeks old. My mom took the night shift a few times while they were here. It was amazing. Hope you get some sleep! I had some anxiety about leaving her with someone else so I took some Benadryl to help me fall and stay asleep. I did wake up one morning at 4:00 am and was tempted to go check on her, but I knew my mom had six kids and was more than capable of keeping her alive for one night. LOL.

Like @blueeyedblossonm said, sushi is fine if its from a place you've been to before that has never made you sick, and you're not going every day. I would limit to once a month, or once every other week if you had a lot of sushi before pregnancy, just to be on the safe side.

  • For Mommies-to-be:

How many weeks are you? 24w5d

    When is your EDD? 5/14/14

How are you feeling? Tired.  I am not sleeping well because I keep waking up with leg pain and have to keep turning over at night.

What are you craving? Sugar...which isn't good! :-p

What is grossing you out? Ground beef.  But really I love all food right now!

Have you bought/received anything for the baby lately? I bought two onesies and a pair of pants at BRU this weekend because they were on sale.  And I am about to buy the pictures I posted in a separate post!

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments? My next monthly appt is Feb 4.

Have you / will you found out the sex?  A boy!

Any names picked out?  Nolan Wesley

How is the nursery coming along? PIPs? Themes?  We can't actually start until we move (on Feb 22!), but I know which bedding I want and found some cute pics to put on the wall.

Anything else you would like to add or PIP? Not at the moment!

I had to start taking a magnesium supplement for leg pain, RLS. Talk to your doc about it. It was a life saver for me. Also adding a calcium supplements like tums can help too.

I only ever eat rage veggie rolls, so I do still have those when it sounds good.
