One more snow delay or cancellation and I may scream! Last year we had one cancellation all year, I think we've had 4 full days of school this month. I'm going crazy. I appreciate the notice we've gotten, but having to find alternative care is getting old. I'm hoping February and March are kinder to all of us.
Re: Anyone else over winter
I am over it! Luckily my kids go to an at home provider so she doesn't close but dragging both kids and myself out of our nice warm bed, getting everyone bundled up, the car warmed up, and then both kids into the car and their carseats is exhausting. And then I have to go to work! At that point, I'm ready to go back to bed. It's been too cold to even enjoy the snow.

Secondly, we're still in the honeymoon phase with our new home. It's our first winter there, so it's comforting to sit inside with the fireplace glowing and just enjoying the beautiful winter scenery outside my window.
This year no trip to look forward to and this winter seems to be worse than usual. I really wish I was headed to Hawaii again right now!!
I have NEVER been a fan of winter, but this winter takes the cake. I am lucky that I don't have to worry about where dd is going to go when school is cancelled or delayed but I am going crazy in this house with the kids all day. They are bored and full of energy and I can't even send them outside.
It is sad that I got excited when I saw 37 degrees on the forecast for Saturday.
The only thing I like about Winter is having a good excuse to stay inside and be lazy, but this is getting out of control! It is definitely effecting my mood!
I so feel your pain!
At least she likes her coat and hat (thank you Disney Frozen for your merchandise!)
I just like warmer weather because its less clothes to fight dd wearing. No worrying about leggings!
Michael hates his mittens. It's an absolute battle to get them on, but if he doesn't wear them, he cries about cold hands. He doesn't yet grasp that the mittens will stop the cold hand problem. It's killing me.
Recs? I have a couple but don't love them and tried on a few others I didn't like. I do wear the ones I have and they are cozy. I need more for next year!
I can't even imagine what all of you guys are going through. I hope you can enjoy some sun and wamer temps this weekend.
I'm just annoyed at the fact that schools down here closed Friday and yesterday due to freezing rain and ice on the roads. Some even went an cancelled today, too. Thankfully our district seems to be the last int he area to make the call, so there's not much overreacting on their part. I get that why they do it, but I still feel like it's a bit on the "excitable" side to do it.
It's great that I can work from home, but to do so with 3 kids underfoot is really tough. And I'm on two huge projects due next week, or else I would have used a vacation day yesterday.
Hang in there ladies - I really hope you can get some sun and warmer temps this weekend. Be careful and make sure you all get vitamin D in when you can!
My three sons!
