Visiting San Diego

We are visiting in March.  We don't have a hotel lined up, nor any set plans.  Thoughts?  We are a laid back couple, middle age, and looking for R and R with some fun too.  Also, how should we pack?  We plan to stay two-three nights, then head to LA and another town.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  TIA

  • @cutiepie75 I just so happened to come across your post. This board is real real real quiet, it depends on the area you want to stay in. Do you want to stay around the beach areas? If so, I would look into hotels around mission beach and they are pretty reasonably priced. If you want downtown atmosphere, try hotels.com to get the best price for those hotels. Want more expensive, Del Mar. It is also pretty and still close to the beach good luck and have a safe trip.
