Re: Thursday Randoms
One of the more boring aspects on my job is pulling files each quarter and reviewing them to make sure they are complete (all legal docs, evidence of correspondence, stuff like that). I hate doing them, people hate when we drop them off so I've taken to dropping them off when people aren't in their office so I don't have to deal with "the look". I'm not sure which is worse, seeing us drop them off or coming back to your office and seeing a pile of them.
Also, I'm looking forward to Sunday not because of the game but because I like cooking for a bunch of our friends and having them tell me how good stuff tastes.

I haven't watched the Superbowl in years. I don't even know who is playing this year, although I heard it has something to do with the Mary Jane.
I really want to go back to school. I heard about a program in Alexandria run by VA Tech that sounds fascinating. I wish I didn't have to work so that I could just be a professional student. I don't have time to work and be a mom and be a student. I did it when I got my Master's and it was exhausting, and I only had 1 child then.

I just found out the college that I've been attending has been having me take all the wrong classes for the past year (since last January). I am in the process of transferring out of that program and the old school is giving me a super hard time about leaving (won't cancel my grants, loan disbursements, etc.), which is making me delayed in starting classes back up again. I'm out like $10,000 and a whole freaking year I can't get back. I was supposed to be graduating late this summer, now I have at least a whole year to go.
Sad thing is - this is a private, Christian college - you'd think they would be honest and not in it just for the money like it's turning out to be.
I'm trying to just move past it and keep on going toward my goal. It just sucks.
This Song will Save Your Life is currently waiting at my library for me to come pick it up. It's killing me not to read the spoiler post below. Must. Practice. Self. Control.

Also, I've accomplished next to nothing at work this week.

DH is going out of town next week and asked me to go through his way too large T-shirt collection and pull the ones I think he should retire. Challenge accepted. This of course is inspiring a major closet overhaul, and I'm super excited about it.
I didn't get the job I interviewed for last week and I'm actually relieved. After learning more details about the position it would have been a step backwards to take it.

I would so love to do this...
Not sure why, but I think that coffee looks strange in clear glass cups.
Same goes for hot soup in a clear glass bowl.
