TGIF!!

What is everyone up to this weekend?  It looks like we'll be having a heat wave with temps reaching the 40's!  Woo hoo!

Re: TGIF!!

  • Tonight: Usual take out and DVR catch up.

Saturday: We are having people over for Garrett's birthday, so I will probably spend most of the day getting ready for that since I procrasinate and my house is gross and far from company ready at this point!

Sunday: We have a b-day party and then have plans to watch the Super Bowl with friends.

  • Tonight: the usual relaxing...I would normally say DVR catch up, but there has been next to nothing on TV recently, so there's nothing to catch up on.  BOO!! :(

Saturday: the besties are coming in from VA to stay with us.  morning will be spent cleaning up the house a bit, running to the grocery store...they're arriving in the afternoon.  we'll just hang out & let the kiddos play.

Sunday: hang out with them in the morning, no plans in the afternoon until the game later on.

  • Tonight - hopefully finishing up our federal taxes as long as DH's work gives them their W2s today. Though required by law, they never seem to care. Sigh.  And DD is sleeping over at Grandma's house so we'll be down to 1 kid - hurray!! I plan to watch some junk TV or read on my Kindle.

Sat - pick up DD from Grandma's house and grocery shop. And enjoy the heat wave in the 40s. Exciting times.

Sun - church and then hopefully nap with DS. We have no SuperBowl plans since it's a school night.

I think it's official that we're the world's most boring family. But I have to say, I've loved not having such heavily scheduled weekends like we did the past few months. It's been a nice break, but I think the kids are bored.

    :-\"
  • Tonight there is a dance party at H's school. We don't really want to go, but may be forced into it.

Tomorrow the kitties have their vet check-up, we have errands to do for the girl's birthday and a birthday "open house" to attend. I also have to finishe preparing for my class on Sunday.

Sunday I teach from 11:30-2:30. After that I need to do dishes, put away about 6 loads of laundry and get groceries.

I'm exhausted just thinking about this weekend and weekends will stay busy for me until mid-March. It's all good stuff, just aaaaah!

I prefer being a home body and don't mind being boring.

Tonight: Making pepperoni rolls--the kids like to help so that keeps it interesting.
Family game night--probably Dr. Seuss's silly stretch game.

Saturday: DH is splitting wood.  I'll probably go out at nap time and carry it to the woodpile to stack it.  Awesome calorie burner and will allow me to get outside and not have to log miles on the treadmill.  I'd love to get the kids outside too, but I'm thinking we'll have a muddy mess.

Sunday: Church and library with DD.

I also need to do some grocery shopping at some point during the weekend.

  • Tonight - nothing much.  Pizza and hanging out.  (AND I can't really eat the pizza since I get weighed on Saturday mornings.  BLAH)

Saturday - WW in the morning, meeting a friend for drinks in the afternoon, Noah has a basketball game in the evening

Sunday - Brody has a birthday party to go to and we're going to my BFF's house for the Super Bowl.  We send the kids downstairs to the game room to wreak havoc and we have civilized adult conversation upstairs.  It's glorious now that all of the kids are old enough to go hang out downstairs together!

I prefer it too! I just fear it makes me sound like I'm 39 going on 69!

Tonight-I may run to Target and Ikea, then dinner and dvr

Saturday-I have to go to my parents' and try on my bm dress for my brother's wedding so my sister can return and reorder if necessary. We will probably also try to finalize up our plans for my sister's baby shower.

Sunday-clean, cooking, give the small dog a bath since he is really smelly.

  • I'm planning chinese night for us and doing sesame cold peanut noodles and fried rice. After the kids go to bed I want to work on the running skirt I'm making my sister.

Saturday we have swim and gymnastics in the morning and then we're meeting friends for an afternoon full of Chuck E Cheese fun. I know you're all jealous.
    :))

Sunday I want to check out the Freedom Farms market in Aspinwall to see if I want to sign up for their CSA. Does anyone use them?

Let me know what you think. While I love the ability to get a half share from Dillner's I feel like all we got last year was freaking corn!

  • TGIF ladies!

tonight-- not much on the agenda. DH gets home this after from a week in Brazil for work. So just make dinner and hang out.

tomorrow- gymnastics and b-day party right after for DD classmate. DH is going to a gun bash for the evening.

Sunday- probably grocery shop. DH got a smoker and wants to make something for the game. I saw a Mac & cheese recipe on Diners, drive ins, and dives the other night that looked sooo good. Makes me want to make some mac & cheese. :)

Kris, I had used Dillner for a few years prior, but I was disappointed with them last year. I know one person who uses Freedom, and she was telling me she gets a gift card and can use it all year and you get a discount on purchases. I'm interested in hearing from other people.

I want to check out what they have, because once the season starts they're in the East Liberty market every monday. I can stop there on my way home as easily as I can get to my CSA pick up. They're in Aspinwall all year, which could be nice for winter.

  • Tonight I have a girls night out at Nakama with dance team (yay sushi!).

Tomorrow Tim and I are actually going on a date night! We decided to swap babysitting duties with my sister and BIL once a month so we all get some date nights in. We're just getting more sushi (weekend theme?) and going for beer at the gun club.

Sunday is breakfast with the girls, church, musical rehearsal and then the family comes over for a Super Bowl party. The party is just an excuse to try out some new appetizer recipes. ;)

Oh boo, I was thinking of going with Dillners this year for my first time doing a CSA!  I may need to research!
  • Happy Friday!

Tonight: chinese for DH and I, leftover burgers for the boys; we might tackle a board game with them, too, and then early to bed for me (I hope!).

Saturday: nothing, nothing, and more of nothing, really. I need to get our tax stuff all round up and ready to mail to the accountant for Monday - at least that's my goal.

Sunday: outdoor time with the kids, catching up on cleaning and then just making a heavy apps dinner for Super Bowl.

    Enjoy everyone!

    My three sons!

  • I think the only plan we have is having some friends over Sunday to watch the Super Bowl, which means at some point between now and then we have to do some cleaning, make food, and go find some beer. Hopefully that all gets done! ;-)
  • Tonight - just hanging out at home, starting laundry, general cleaning up

Tomorrow - I have gymbucks to use that expire on Sunday so I'm hoping to hit the outlet at Tanger. In the evening I have a b-day party to attend for a friend.

    Sunday - Nothing planned
