Weekend Plans?

What is everyone up to this weekend?  Looks lke the weather may not be completely dry, but at least it's going to be mild.  I'll take it :)

I wish I was starting this thread by sharing my awesome plans, but we're pretty much in homebody mode this weekend. Might have J's family over for the first half of the game on Sunday, but that's about it.  I hope we do because it will give me a chance to break out some Pinterest recipes.

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Super exciting weekend over here... or not, ha!  One of my friends' husbands was promoted and there's a hh for him, but I'm not sure I feel like venturing out and I definitely don't want to drink.  Haven't decided if I'm stopping by.  I want to go to Trader Joe's after work.

Tomorrow we have a 1st bday party later in the afternoon so we'll probably run errands in the morning then go to the party.  Sunday we are going to a Super Bowl party at H's cousin's.  I will be leaving before half time to bring the kid home for bedtime.

  • Today is my birthday so DH and I are literally having our first date night since DS was born.  We're going to Del Friscos (yay for having a birthday during CC Restaurant Week).

Tomorrow going to run some errands and my parents are having pizza and cake for my birthday.

Sunday will probably be more errands.

Just glad to get DS out of the house.  Poor little guy has been cooped up due to the cold.

  • happy birthday @babe2331!

Today I am home with the Bubs.  I had to pick him up from daycare yesterday with a fever and then he vomited as soon as we got home.  Today he seems to back to his usual rambunctious self.   JEGs has a work happy hour tonight, so I am flying solo.  I might get wild and crazy and clean out our closet after Hunter goes to bed.  Whoa now.

Tomorrow (assuming this bug Hunter had is completely passed) we are taking him to the Please Touch Museum.  I am super psyched about this.

Sunday we were invited to a Superbowl party, but it's in Morgantown, so we are passing.  Maybe we will put the game on, but odds are we will probably just catch up on Nashville and go to bed.

  • happy birthday, babe!

I am off today, and just finished lunch while DD naps.  Then we'll head to Costco to replenish our stash of tissues and mucinex.  This cold is the pits.  Tonight is pizza night at home and we'll probably watch an episode or two of Newsroom - we just started the series last night.

Tomorrow, depending on a few things, we may go over to visit my cousins and their kids in the afternoon.

Sunday, I am meeting up with a girlfriend for breakfast/coffee and then we have a party in the afternoon.

  • Happy birthday @babe2331 !!
  • Thanks ladies!  My boss ordered us all lunch for my birthday.  I am def not used to this, especially since I worked alone for 15 years with no co-workers.  It's nice to have co-workers now.

  • Happy Birthday babe2331!

This past week has been very chaotic. A pipe broke outside of our house and we went through a big debacle with the plumber we hired to fix it (long story short, he hasn't been able to secure the permit from the city to dig up the sidewalk and bailed on us yesterday, leaving us scrambling to find someone else). We had been getting water from our neighbor's house, but the cold weather earlier this week cut off our supply. So, we've been going back and forth between our house and my mom's all week. Needless to say, we have no real plans for the weekend, aside from figuring out if we can hook the water back up until someone comes to fix the pipe next week.

We are at least hoping to take DD to a music class and maybe on a little walk tomorrow since it won't be freezing cold. I think we are all going a bit stir crazy.

Thanks! Sorry to hear about the pipe. Our stack pipe busted a few weeks back and we had to cut out a portion of our dining room wall :( would you mind sharing some info in the music class? I've been looking for something like this for DS.

  • Thanks, babe! Luckily, we were able to run the line from our neighbor's house since the weather is mild again, so we have water. And, a plumber is coming to fix everything on Thursday--pending the weather of course. We also haven't had any damage to the inside of the house, thank goodness.

The music class was fun! We went to Music Monkey Jungle at the Children's Boutique. B is only five months old, so she didn't get into the dancing and movement aspect of things as much as the older children, but she seemed to love all of the songs. They run the classes a few times a week, and just started Saturdays. It's $8 per child and was about 40 minutes or so. They gave the kids stickers at the end and there were snacks and juice for the older ones.

Here's a good list of Saturday classes, which is how I found out about it. Since I'm back to work, I am glad to know that there are a few things we can do on the weekends. If anyone is ever interested in meeting up for a Saturday activity, let me know!
