feb kindle deals/ kindle first deals

Seems like there are pretty decent monthly deals this month. (sorry no link in mobile and the link was ugly)

And anyone with prime going to get one of the free kindle first books? Link since it's hard to find. Sorry it's long.

I picked up Long Knives. Last month I got Barkeep but haven't read it yet. I did read the one I got in December- Things We Set on Fire, and I enjoyed it.

I got Gilded from Kindle First.  I got The Line last month but haven't had the chance to read it yet (I actually just got it a few days ago because I just found out about Kindle First).

I didn't really see anything in the monthly deals that jumped out at me this month.

I'm not particularly interested in any of the kindle firsts this month.  I might wait until I need something to read and see what I'm in the mood for before I choose.

I won an audio copy of gilded but won't get it until next month!! She sent me a bunch of swag though! I am really looking forward to this book!

Megan McCafferty's Sloppy Firsts is one of the monthly deals -- if you've never read this series it is excellent!

I bought the sequel to the Devil Wears Prada. I had heard it wasn't that great but for something mindless to read before bed & for $3 I figured why not? So far it's definetly not as good as the first but I don't outright hate it. The constant referals to brand names is getting a little annoying though. I don't remember if it was that bad in the first.

From the Feb. deals, I picked up:

Shit My Dad Says, since everyone raves about it.

The Prisoner of Heaven, because I liked The Shadow of the Wind, so I thought I'd try another of Carlos Ruiz Zafon's books.

Stolen. I've heard a lot about it, and I'm curious enough to spend $3.

There are quite a few good ones in there this month.

I'm eyeing Stolen (because I think that Julie reviewed it a while back.)

The Last Train to Istanbul and 7: An Experiment in Mutiny of Excess are also on my list.

The Prisoner of Heaven is good! I love the intertwining stories between SotW and The Angel's Game. His quartet is such a unique take on storytelling.

For Firsts, I also picked up Gilded, since there was some twitter chatter about it recently.
