I loved this book! I gave it 4 stars when I read it last year. I absolutely loved Eugenie as a character. She felt like a combination of a bunch of my other favourites but with her own special twist.

Eugenie is such a BAMF.  I love her wit, and she doesn't take any shit.   I gave it 4 stars when I first read it.  I've read it several times since, so I might need to back to change it to 5. Clearly, I love it!

I love Tim too.  I kind of want to pat him on the head.

ETA: Sorry, not Eddie, Tim. I'm getting my series confused.

I'm probably the odd person out- I only gave it 2 stars. I felt like it was a mash up between a bunch of other worlds, like Women of the Otherworld and Merry Gentry.

I did finish the series and along the way, I think it fell into its own and I am glad that I read all of them.

I gave it 3 stars.  I thought Kiyo was kind of generic, she didn't bother to develop him much beyond the stereotypical alpha-male shapeshifter character, and ignored so many issues at the end that I'm hoping are addressed further in the series.  I enjoyed Tim, he made me smile.

The world building was a little confusing at first, the mix of the fairy and the Greek mythology didn't mesh well in my head.

I gave it three stars. It's one of my favorite PNR series. Eugenie kicks ass and I love her sense of humor.

They first scene with Kiyo....so hot. I still like Dorian more than Kiyo, though.

I even like Volusian in a weird sort of way. He reminds me of Al in the Rachel Morgan series.

I gave it 4 stars.  I was surprised by how much I liked it.  Volusian is almost my favorite character.  He cracks me up.  I hope to see more of him in the rest of the series.

Yes, but I'm not done. The beginning was good but then I got bored out of my mind when she crossed over, met Dorian, Jasmine didn't get rescued, blah blah. I'll finish today though, so I'll come check back in when I'm done.

I gave it 2, but it was really more like 2.5. This book didn't really do it for me. From the first scenes with Kiyo, I thought it had major potential because those were hot! But then it sort of fell flat. There wasn't enough meat. Like - when Kiyo and Eugenie went on a date, she said things like "they had great conversation." What? No! I want to see the conversation. I noticed little things like that a lot and it ticked me off. It just felt sort of shallow.

I loved Dorian though! He kind of reminded me of V'lane when I still loved him. And Volusion is hilarious.

I'm reading the next one to see if I like it more.

And random aside - I hate the name Eugenie. So much.

Yea, I didn't care for the name either.  When they'd call her Eug, it reminded me of my dad saying huge with a silent H in his french accent.  It was a little distracting.

OMG This. I hated disliked the name "Georgina" from the "Georgina Kincaid" books too. What's up with these older generation names?
