Newbie -- just saying hi!
Hi, all! Just a new Nestie saying hi and I am SO glad that my husband and I aren't alone! Not particularly being the "kid" types (leaning toward the DINK life), we were starting to feel a little isolated, especially with more and more of our married-couple friends starting to send out pregnancy announcements. It's not that we're not happy for them -- we're happy to be honorary Aunt and Uncle, buuut we also like our quiet apartment, quality time with each other, and hobbies.

Speaking of…do any of you have tips for finding child-free friends (or hanging on to child-having friends)?
Re: Newbie -- just saying hi!
The only tip i try to follow for hanging on to child having friends is try to embrace their new life, make plans that are easier for them, like going to their house for plans so they dont have to shuffle kids or making plans in advance so they can find a babysitter.
