What are you reading? How are you goals coming along?
my read shelf:
Re: Book Club Monday
I started reading The Bronze Horseman this weekend. It's really good so far.
I'm listening to Life after Life, man it's weird and hard to follow. This might be a better book then audio.
I've read one chapter of Into the Still Blue (Under the never sky #3)
I think I hit book burn out a bit. Seriously I can't get into anything until I get done with all the episodes of Vampire Diaries on Netflix. It's like crack, I can't stop!!
I'm reading The Art of Racing in the Rain. I'm enjoying that it is a quick read, but I'm not sure my heart is in it.
These are #'s 15 and 16 for the year. My goal is 50 and goodreads claims I'm 10 books ahead of schedule. So, hopefully I'll make it. Bedrest helps a lot
I also finished Can you Keep a Secret? and really enjoyed that. Now I am listening to the Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.
Then I read "The Same Individuals" by Jill Sunter, and it was TERRIBLE! I was expecting to like it; it's about how drug use and rehab affects the lives of these various people and how those people's lives also turn out to be related to each other. But I don't know if it was just the writing style or if the characters' problems were too similar to what I deal with in my job, but I was bored to tears.
I'm not sure what I'm going to read next. I just signed up for this thing called BookBub, which emails you a list of free or discounted ebooks in your favorite genres every day. So I have like 5 new titles in my Kindle - one I paid a dollar for, and the rest were FREE! Definitely recommend this to anyone who owns an e-reader and is looking for new titles!
