Decorating & Renovating
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Need approved plans {engineered or architectural} for our renovation: Where do we get them?

We're having a really hard time finding out this information and our local code enforcer says he can't give us the names of anyone, as he can't suggest who we should work with.

Is there a website or place online to find companies that do this? or a place online we can do them ourselves and have them printed?

  • Your local or state AIA office/website can direct you to firms that could do this. Small firms may take it on depending on scope. Or you can call your local University that has an Architecture program. They may have someone to suggest or a board where you can post it.
