Taxes filed!!

So excited to be done with my taxes! I was waiting on one last form, which I got today. We are getting a refund which I know isn't great because we paid too much throughout the year, but that's why I'm glad to have the extra cash. Anyone else?!

Re: Taxes filed!!

  • haven't even started. LOL.  I'm going to need 4 hours to get mine ready for our CPA.  I will probably have my mom watch DD sometime next week so I can get it done.

  • Sorry my comment didn't post. :( approx how long did it take to get your return? The longest I've ever waited is 2 weeks and today they said "within 21 days" so I was just curious. :)
  • It took about a week and a half from when they "accepted" them for federal and two exactly for state.

I am a lazy woman and still haven't legally changed my last name so my social and W-2 didn't match. They told me 6-8 weeks to process them that way. Lucky me!

  • Ugh, this year we owe Fed $150 or so, but we should get some back from the state I hope! Still waiting for my dad to finish it up.
  • Looks like DH will be taking DD to work 1 day next week and that means I get to get all my taxes ready, kid free!  It's sad I'm that excited about it.  I will be very pleased if we get the same amount we did last year which was $1800.  fingers crossed.  I will be putting 1k of that in our e fund.

  • I just put mine in on Monday. I cannot wait for this refund to enter my account. As soon as it does, DH and I are heading to the dealership!

  • Soooo happy to get a refund back (paid off a nice chunk of student loans).  I filed Federal on 1/31, got the refund 2/8; filed State on 2/3 got the refund 2/7. Very quick!
  • That's great! We plan on bulking up our checking/savings and then the rest towards the mortgage.
  • I filed ours on 1/29, we got our return on 2/7. We got way too much back, but we paid off 2 of our 3 credit cards so it feels great!
  • We filed on Friday and I'm hoping we get the money sometime next week!  YEET!!!
  • I sent mine to the accountant yesterday. Hope not to owe but that's probably not going to be the case we always either break even or owe.
  • We filed our taxes on Feb. 1st and we got our Federal deposited into our account yesterday (02/12) and our state was deposited today.
  • We filed our on Sunday so we will be getting our returns next week.  We will then have to file city which we owe and have to pay quarterly taxes because I work out of our city where the city taxes are lower.

The sad thing is that the money is either already spent or will be going to rebuild savings.
  • Woo hoo got state back in 3 days! From Tuesday at 10pm to Saturday morning.
  • I filed mine back in mid January, Federal accepted 1/28, State accepted 1/31...got Federal 2/6 and still waiting on state :(
  • Got it to our CPA and hope to hear from him soon, especially because applying for financial aid for DD's school....Need to figure out where she is going next year. Any refunds, and what we are offered with fin aid packet will determine.
  • We went to the accountant this weekend and did ours.  We're getting a nice chunk of change that's already earmarked for a home improvement project.
