Hi All! I wanted to see if anyone can recommend a realtor. We are playing around with the idea of trying to sell our house (again). We were going to wait until next year, but I'm leaning towards just listing it in a month or two and seeing what happens and then if we can't sell it, we will start renovations in the fall to make it fit us better...ha. I feel like we are in limbo at the moment. I don't want to put money into it if we're just going to turn around and sell anyway, but we need to do something. I have no problem staying in our house "forever" if we complete some renovations but for what the renovations will cost us, we could buy something pretty darn nice. Okay, sorry I rambled a bit there. Let me know if you have any fabulous/aggressive realtor recs. I want to start by just talking to someone, having them look at my house, and telling me what they think. Oh, and we're in Beaver County (Baden) if it helps.

Re: Realtor Recommendation
Hey Abby! Peggy Grieb is "the realtor" for that area - she's with ReMax or ... the other place with red/white/blue signs; I'm drawing a blank (as I've been eye-deep in realty down here in TX now). Between her and her husband, who is either a builder or contractor, they have a very large client base. I would have her at least come out and give you her thoughts. She sold our neighbor's house the Fall before we sold (and that went in 4-5 weeks), and our other neighbor bought with her help. She listed another neighbor, but I think they were a bit overpriced and I don't think the neighbor really wanted to sell, so they went off the market after 6 months.
We used Patti Kennedy with Northwood Realty (on Freedom Road). We sold in 3 weeks. However, we went with Pat bc she was a very close friend (and neighbor) and like another Mom to us. We knew our house would sell and we were priced to sell (which we set the price point, she just offered her opinion). We had a realtor's opening (about a dozen realtors came - Peg being one of them - and one other open house (no one came to that one). I think Pat is more of a commercial realtor - she's not the most aggressive with residential which, after your last experience I think you need. That said, she is VERY honest and trustworthy, and negotiated well for us with the buyer. I think we had 10 showings, 3 of them being repeats. It might be worth asking her to come out and give you her opinions and just to compare agencies. You can tell her we referred her to you!
I hope this helps - good luck with your decision!
