Alienated (Spoiler Version)

I didn't want to spoil anything, but thought the "cliffhanger" convo was interesting.

I personally don't think it's super cliff-hangery. The plot is tied up. It's not like Aelyx or Cara has disappeared, and the other doesn't know if they are dead or alive. It's all done. I just think that I am still invested in the world. I want to find out what happens back on Earth. Does Earth survive? What happens to Cara's parents? What about her brother? Oh, and Aelyx's sister, gotta have more of her! I'm always happy any time I get to read more about the lives of characters I cared about.

What do the rest of you who have read it think? Cliffhanger or no?

I thought it was a perfect balance of wrapping the established story up while still leaving enough questions unsanswered to get people to want to read another book.
