What is everyone doing today? And what did you get your H? If you have already gotten your presents then what did he get you?

My birth month board just posted this link... http://www.pregnantchicken.com/pregnant-chicken-blog/2012/2/14/valentines-day-notes.html so I sent one to hubby lol
We'll go out for supper and that's about it. But then, it's Friday, and we'll always go out on Fridays.
We were kinda making fun of valentines day... We both think its kinda hokey, so our 'mission' was to go out and find the most ridiculously sappy valentines day card we could for each other.

I just got him peanuts and wrote a note that said "Im nuts about you!" We will eat KFC and not sure whatelse. (its our tradition since I ruined the first dinner 7 years ago and had to go out and get KFC) haha

I bought H the book From Baghdad with Love. We don't usually do presents but I know he'll like it. I'm making him dinner: shrimp cocktail, then filet mignon & scallops with a champagne butter sauce, mushroom risotto & roasted green beans, then homemade chocolate brownies with peanut butter frosting for dessert. After, I already know he bought me the movie Warm Bodies, so we're going to watch that.

We are going to dinner tonight but it is our usual date night. All week I hid little pink post-its with cute notes on them for him. I didn't really get anything for him except yesterday I gave him a cute post-it poem with donut money. He is off today so he is coming up to work to have lunch with me.

I got H a golf video game and some candy and a card. So far (apparently there is still more) he got me a massage. And then we are going to dinner tonight (we have a babysitter). He also started the day off by making me breakfast and he is off work today so he is going to be cleaning the house for me.

We don't do Valentines day. H has work tonight anyhow. But my mom sent me flowers at work which was a nice surprise.

We don't really "do" valentines usually...it's an overpriced holiday and the few times we tried to go out on valentines were epic fails (too expensive, long waiting times, grumpy servers, too busy at restaurants to feel romantic and hurried out the door too fast). 

This year we won't even see each other since DH left early for work and won't get home until after I leave for work and I don't get home until after midnight...BUT DH did have flowers and cadbury creame eggs waiting for me when I got home last night.

We bought each other cards and H bought me roses from Teddy but that's it. I made cheesesteaks and we both fell asleep after the baby did lol

We exchanged cards and H got me chocolates and new slippers (which I've been saying I really needed but hadn't gotten around to getting them). I started a tradition a few years ago of baking him a new yummy dessert of his choice. This year he picked salted caramel chocolate chip bars. I also put post-its around the house with reasons why I love him for him to find in the morning .And we went out to dinner last night at one of our favorite restaurants.
