Hi ,
I have just joined this site, been meaning to for a while. I am an almost 29 year old(ughh) wife in the Phila suburbs looking to network with
all the other wives out there trying to balance work, marriage and family. Currently, I am struggling with trying to lose weight, figuring out when to start trying to have kids and finishing my degree. Look forward to chatting with you all !
Erin
Re: New Member..
Hi Erin! Welcome! Where in the Philly suburbs are you? I currently am in Northeast Philadelphia, but moving to Abington, PA in 10 days.
I have 2 kids- ages 3 and 1- and am working part time until we move, at which point I will lose my job (city residency requirement),and will be staying at home for a little while at least. I am really hoping once we settle into the new house I can also turn some attention to getting in shape...I've been a bit of a mess lately with my eating and non-exercising habits and it's showing (and making me feel icky too).
There are usually more people on during the week...I'm sure others will chime in to say hello once the work week begins
Hi!
I'm in bucks county. Excited about the move to the suburbs ? I used to work in Ambler(close proximity to Abington), cute area, especially for raising kids. That sucks you lose your job by the move, are you in health care ? I know that's one field that has that requirement.
As for the diet/exercise thing, I need to do something, because I'm totally unhappy with myself and going on vacation in April, which is really creeping up ! H and I have started doing the organic food thing, feeling better now that I am eating better, just need to incorporate the exercise aspect, so much effort !
Welcome! I am in Malvern, and also need to lose some weight. We are going away next month, and I am seriously dreading bathing suits and such. If this weather would break, I feel I would be more motivated to hit the gym. Instead I sit inside and eat all the bad stuff
Jamie- congrats on the new house, and good luck with the move!
Jamie good luck with the move!
Thanks for the warm welcomes !
OnceinlovewithAmy- I am in Langhorne, originally from Yardley. You're pretty brave trying for another one with a 2 year old! I'm a nanny for two boys, 2 and 3.5, and its pretty chaotic !
My little nuggets
Thanks everyone! I'm excited and nervous for the move.
My job is actually with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation- so it's a local government with a residency requirement. I'll be sticking around there to run a few programs (under the table) at least through summer, but it will be sporadic. It will be interesting to adjust to so many changes at once. DH wants to start trying for #3 soon-ish but I said at least not until after we do Disney in August...and even at that point we'll see...lots to think about!
