OCMD with girlfriends

While my husband's on a hunting trip, I'm going to the beach with girlfriends. I'm going to miss mu hubby like crazy, but didn't want to go hunting.
Anyway, my girlfriend is on a tight budget, which I'm ok with, but her famous saying is, "I don't have money". I know we can hang out at the beach, which is free, and I'm okay with packing food for lunches and breakfasts, but I'm not totally into sitting around on the beach all day.
What is else is there to do at the beach for cheap? And is it okay to say I really don't want to hang at the beach the whole time and would like to do some other stuff too?

Re: OCMD with girlfriends

  • You could take walks and window shop.  Are you staying over night?  Bring some wine and a few real girly DVDs to watch at night.
  • What time of year are you going? I drove up to Fenwick DE in early January from the Va beach area and passed through OCMD. In Fenwick, the maritime museum was closed for the season. I did stop at the Fenwick lighthouse for a few pictures. Rehoboth DE has outlet shopping but if she really has no money this might not work. DE has no sales tax so if you need stuff it is a better deal there. I am not sure if there are any parks or museums in OCMD.
