List 5 positive things in your life right now.
Big or small - let's start off this week with some positive thinking.

Re: List 5 positive things in your life right now.
1. I got a raise and promotion last week.
2. Even though my child is a teething monster right now, she's still super adorable.
3. Currently listening to ABOSAA, enough said.
4. My Russian class was pretty awesome today.
5. My husband has had a lot better attitude lately.
my read shelf:
2. I also have a happy, healthy toddler.
3. My lunch is delicious
4. My afternoon meeting, while likely to be long, will be all technical so I can probably bring other work to do during it, and it should make my afternoon go by faster.
5. I'm going away with my girlfriends this weekend!

2) My husband has also been super supportive recently in a lot of ways. I've noticed that we both seem to making more an effort to do things for each other instead of just focusing on our own needs.
3) Although getting my doctorate is tough and stressful, it means that I get to spend most of each day doing what I love!
4) I have a new candle in my practice room at home and it smells so good. It makes me really excited everytime I go to practice.
5) I hosted my first ever party this weekend (like genuine had a dozen people, not just a few friends) and it went super well! Everyone seemed to have such a great time but it all stayed under control and was wonderful.
1: It was a beautiful day yesterday, so my husband and I rode our bikes to the grocery store and then used the grill for dinner when we got home. We even roasted marshmallows over the grill after dinner was over. It was nice.
2: He's totally and completely my rock. Everything that happens, good or bad, we are always there for each other. And no matter what else happens in our lives, at least we have that.
3: I feel very good in general about how I am eating lately.
4: We are getting a tax refund. We are using it to tune our piano which has been in several moves and is way out of tune. We are also using it to fix our chimney so next winter we can use our fireplace. We are also going to put it towards someday future nursery stuff. We don't have a kid yet, but I have to believe that we will someday, and working towards it helps me emotionally.
5: We decided to take a belated anniversary trip for cheap. We are going to Harpers Ferry sometime in the next few weeks and we are going to bring our not-so-warm-weather camping gear and camp out for a few nights. We wont have to worry about the expense of eating out, because yay, campfire and camp stove! We are planning on biking along the C&O Canal, hiking on the Appalachian Trail some, and kayaking on the Potomac. It's great because we'll be starting (belatedly) our fifth year of marriage on a very healthy and frugal note. Those are also our three favorite outdoor activities to do, so bonus!
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

my read shelf:
1. I have a roof over my head at night and a warm comfortable home to return to each day
2. Relatively speaking, I'm healthy. With my issues, things could be so much worse and I am grateful I am doing as well as I am.
3. I have a job that pays well enough that we aren't struggling to meet our bills or put food on the table each month
4. In three weeks or so, I'm going to have a baby and I found a daycare that's not going to cost an arm & a leg
5. I have wonderful friends & family who are kind, generous, supportive & helpful when we need them. Hand-me-downs are kind of awsome

2. I have a wonderful husband who puts up with the batshitcrazy I can dish out sometimes.
3. I picked up Code Name Verity from the library about 10 minutes ago.
4. I have a job that I enjoy most of the time, with co-workers that I like most of the time, that gives me a flexible workday so that I don't have to take PTO for personal stuff that needs to get done during the 9-5, like dr's appts or being the 'recess mom' once or twice a month.

1. MY KID. Sometimes she's the only thing can put a smile on my face. She is the best part of my day and I adore spending time with her.
2. I’ve been really focusing on my overall health this year and it’s paying off. I feel better than I have in a long time. As a bonus, I’m about 3.5 lbs away from my goal weight and while I still have some work to do, it’s nice to see results know I’m really on the right track.
3. I’m finally going to finish University this year. I’m SO ready to be done. 1.5 semesters to go!
4. MH was laid off at the end of Jan and while that stinks, he’s been doing all the cooking and cleaning at home, and has been getting things checked off of my random to-do list. It’s been nice (though I won’t deny it’d be nicer if he had a job).
5. By the time I go to bed tonight my “term paper from hell” will be submitted and I won’t have to look at it ever again.
