Vegas: Monte Carlo vs. Flamingo
DH and I are trying to plan a long weekend in Vegas for our anniversary in August. We are younger (30 & 28), but tend to like a quieter scene. We'd really like a nice pool to relax next to which is why we have narrowed it down to the Monte Carlo and the Flamingo. They seem centrally located, with nice pools and are pretty similar in price for the weekend we are looking at going. Does anyone have an opinion between the two? Any other advice in general would be nice too, it has been 7 years since we have been to Vegas and a lot has changed. Thanks!
Re: Vegas: Monte Carlo vs. Flamingo
We went to Vegas for our honeymoon 10 years ago but we did stay at the Monte Carlo. We both really liked it. I loved the pool and a few of the restaurants and we also appreciated that it was a bit on the quieter side since it didn't have a huge attraction like a Volcano or fountains. My boss actually recommended it to me and I am glad we took his advice. It was a great place to stay well at least it was 10 years ago.
Flamingo, for sure. I stayed at both; Monte Carlo has the lazy river and it was flooded with kids. In other words, not quiet at all.
Plus I tend to prefer that end of the strip better anyhow. Just my personal opinion of course. Have a great trip!
