I have a completely irrational resentment toward naturally skinny women. I know it's dumb, and I know I shouldn't care, and, like I said, it's completely irrational. But I have the metabolism of a dead person and I have fat genes, so I have to be aware of every single crumb I put in my mouth. I have been damn near killing myself at CrossFit for almost a year now and I've hardly lost a pound, so I want to punch people who never have to work out and can eat whatever they want and are still thin.
Ditto. I have to watch everything I eat. I can't even tell you the last time I ate pasta or had a piece of cheesecake. I get irrationally pissed at the naturally skinny people I see eating pizza and onion rings for lunch at work. My metabolism is crap.
My sister is stupid skinny too.  She eats a value meal with an extra burger almost every day for lunch, and I get chastized by a nutritionist for welcoming type 2 diabetes with open arms because I used too much salad dressing.  Tis not fair.

  • My dad is coming to visit this weekend and I'm hoping that horrible weather will come through this afternoon/tonight preventing him from getting here.  He is a huge PITA and after the week I've had, I just don't have it in me to deal with him.

I don't understand the obsession with Red Velvet. I mean ya its good, but no better than anything else. Don't get me wrong, I don't turn it down, but it doesn't make me drool like a good chocolate anything does.
Word.  Now there's the blue velvet and green velvet, etc.

I can't eat the cream cheese frosting so I don't usually have it.

I have placed three different orders on Old Navy in the last two days, and two of them were for jeans a size larger than I am currently wearing because I am gaining weight. I am in therapy for a compulsive eating disorder, and it has not been going well lately. And now I am out on medical leave because I might have a wrist fracture (MRI is scheduled for Monday), so all I want to do is shop online and also eat all the foods. Instead, I am going to hole up in my apartment and await the 10-15 inches of snow we might get Sunday and Monday.

This week I gave up on reading American Gods... I had been reading it for 5 days, and I was only about 50 pages in and I was actually not looking forward to spending time reading. I read The Ocean at the End of the Lane in December and LOVED it so figured I would try another Gaiman, but sadly this just wasn't the one for me.

You're not alone.  I've read 1/3 of American Gods and Anansi Boys and I couldn't finish either of them.  Stone away Gaimaniacs!

I just got the audio version of it so I can force my way through the last half of it. I began reading it in December.

Red velvet does nothing for me.  I find it tastes funny & dry due to the coloring.

Yep.  It's chocolate cake dyed red with cream cheese icing.  Minus the food coloring, it's black velvet.  Which is the BOMB. I try not to eat artificial dyes, so I'm all about the black velvet cake.

@Young_Love This is NOT irrational. I think it's completely natural to have harsh feelings towards people who naturally have what we work so hard for. And I feel the same way.

@fabk I am not a fan of Red Velvet either. Of course, I'm not a fan of chocolate cake in general. Now, that, is flame worthy. LOL.

    EDITED: I forgot words. duh.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

Homemade red velvet cake is amazing.  Actually, any kind of homemade cake is amazing.

I was beyond disappointed when I got a red velvet cupcake from one of those cupcake places.  It tasted like our year-old freezer-burned wedding cake that we pretended was good, but no thanks, I only want a bite.

Maybe that is the problem. I need to tryquality red velvet cake!
  • One of my neighbors got drunk and peed on our building.  And then someone else was bitching that we parked in his spot when we didn't.  When we told him we didn't, he complained to our front office.

    I really hate this complex.

  • My MIL somehow decided that I LOVE red velvet cake.  I don't know how she got this into her head, but now she goes out of her way to make me red velvet everything and I frankly, don't particularly care for it all that much but I have to pretend that I like it because she makes such a big deal about it.  It's been going on for so long now I can't even say anything.  I figured I'd just let it go the first time and she has since gotten reaaaaaally carried away.
