Happy Monday girls!

What's a highlight from everyone's weekend?

Mine is waking up to CH's in my chart yesterday morning. This PCOS diet freaking sucks, but dammit it made me ovulate on my own!

Good morning! The highlight of my weekend was hearing Emmitt Smith, Drew Brees, Ryan Tannehill, Nick Foles, and Steve Holcomb (Sochi gold medalist!) speak!

My weekend honestly sucked. The best thing that came out of it was finishing my freelance assignment and sending off the invoice for a nice chunk of change!

Considering our water heater died (and pissed itself all over the floor in the process) Friday night, replacing that took out all of DH's "fun" savings (ie, kayak fund), so I think I'll be giving him part of my next couple of freelance checks. He's so bummed.

Oh...and then I had a plastic bin fall on my face last night while DH was taking out his frustration on the utility shelves we had to move out of the way to replace the water heater. He shook the crap out of them because they wouldn't stay together and knocked the bin off the top shelf and right onto my face. I've got a few nice cuts on my nose now. Yay Monday.

On the way to bff's reveal cake, we got a flat tire! Oh the fun! Took us about an hour to change it because we were having jack problems. Everyone at the party waited for us which made me feel bad, I told her not to. She's having another boy, love her name, Luka! 

Saturday we both woke up at 4 in the morning and decided to get breakfast. I worked till 2 then we got new tires for the truck. After that was grocery shopping. Then we both ended up laying down and taking a nap...till 3am! When we woke up, I bugged DH till he took me to get a burger. Pizza burger, it was amazing!

Sunday we had a late lunch with my family for my dad's birthday. I did laundry and made cookies for DH's co worker. I slept badly because of messing up my schedule this weekend, but I'm not paying too badly for it. 

Other than the tire, it was a good weekend. It could have been worst.

I am not sure I can pick a favorite.

My dad was in town so we spent a bit of time with him. We also had a meeting with cabinet company #2 (probably not any cheaper, but we liked him a ton better.) Then we went to a home show- Mostly looking for landscape architects, but almost walked away with an outdoor kitchen.

Next up we took my dad to see the progress on the house- windows in, roof ready to be shingled, and marked for plumbing!

We took dad out to dinner, and then had a nice quiet movie night at home.

We had planned on bringing cans and bottles Back yesterday, then heading to the grocery store, but H sent me to get my nails done and then we went to his favorite restaurant for dinner instead. Oops.

Just a lovely weekend.

DH's team went 5-0 in their tournament this weekend.  They won the championship game and DH was named leading scorer for the entire tournament!

Highlight was Friday when my nephew was officially adopted.

Yay for CH's!!

I woke up at 8 on Sunday and took the dog for our first walk since October. We were both so excited to finally be able to see the street and a little grass here and there.
Other than that, we just laid around alll weekend, it was glorious!

We had a great weekend!  It was my birthday on Friday and we had my Gatsby themed bday party on Saturday.  I'm paying the price for it all though because I somehow hurt my back and laid in bed all day yesterday while on muscle relaxers.  It was worth it though!  This party was probably the best party we've ever thrown!
