Have you ladies heard this story yet?

Re: Student sues Parents

  • I just read a blurb on it. I can't say I'm surprised.

  • With today's youth feeling of entitlement, I'm not surprised. Everything I have, I worked hard for and I'm damn proud of it. The same will go for my children! I was raised to respect others, especially my parents, and to work hard. It seems that most kids today aren't held to the same standard and it's sad.

  • @spalko I agree! I get where a kid may think that parents will help with college BUT it's not a requirement that your parents pay for college. My parents helped with college but I paid for more than half either by getting scholarships or out of my pocket. At 18 you are an adult and I think kids today forget that. H and I say all the time our children will not act that way.
  • I agree. H and I always talk about raising our kids the same way we were raised. H is sickened when he reads about things like this. He respects his parents and know exactly how hard they worked to give him a wonderful life.

  • What. a. brat.

The one article I read said she contacted her state's child protective services department. Um. You're 18. You're not a child. Want to be an adult? Act like an adult.

  • This is what is wrong with society...how did it even get this far? Why didnt someone say brat and smack her. Why did the other parents who took her in not say yo idiot go back and apologize to your parents.
