How did you beat laziness this weekend? What all do you have planned to stay active this week?
Re: Lent Challenge check-in
I'm making myself work out for at least 20 minutes every day. I didn't work out this weekend but I did get pregnancy shots done on all the goats that are due through the end of March. Gave supplements to those that needed it and got a nasty infected wound cleaned out. That took a lot of time, so I gave myself a pass this weekend.
The rest of this week is at least 20 minute work outs every day.
Just thought I'd share this great leg workout I came up with. I did this twice a week for a month and lost an inch and a half on my thighs! I'm going back to this routine this week, through the rest of lent. I have an arm and ab routine too if anyone is interested. If you don't like doing 20 reps at a time you could cut it down to 12 and do each set 3 times instead of 2.
SET ONE:
1 minute wall sit
Walking lounges (I'd just walk the entire room 4 times)
20 side lounges (each leg)
20 fire hydrants (each leg) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La3xYT8MGks
REPEAT SET ONE ONCE
SET TWO:
20 Straight leg dead lifts
20 light weight squats
20 weighted calf raises
20 donkey kicks
REPEAT SET 2 ONCE.
Yasmin, I had the same problem yesterday. Just the worst case of the Mondays ever, stupid Daylight Savings! I didn't workout, but made fondue and did laundry instead.
Whenever I bake, I always say I'll bring the leftovers into work, but then I just eat them instead...
In all seriousness, I was close to meeting my step goal today. It may have helped that I had to park far away from the doctor's office.
I'm a bit sad though. It's been really nice weather wise lately and I want to break in my pair of Vibrams I bought over Christmas. Until I got home tonight, it was dark. Now they're calling for a high of 40 and low of 10 tomorrow and snow. I will never get to wear these shoes at this rate.
