What all should I do when working out??

I just started working out to gain a healthier lifestyle and weight loss. Currently, I take a 45 minute Zumba class Tuesday and Saturday and what's called "Booty, Abs, and Arms" which is a grueling work out involving weights, crunches, lunges, squats, cardio, etc. I try to jog frequently, but the weather has really prevented that from happening.

I feel like I can be doing more. Any suggestions on other things that I can try? I feel like I do a lot of lower body work and would really like to do some more upper body. I have no problem going to a fitness class (I actually prefer them, I find I'm better motivated in groups!!) or working alone. Im not currently a member of a gym, but I am looking into it.

Any class or workout suggestions?? Thanks!!!

Re: What all should I do when working out??

  • Pinterest has tons of workout plans and routines. Just do a search for "exercise" or look through the category "health and fitness"
  • if you don't already find some healthy recipies to cook at home.  I subscribe to cooking light and fine 5 or 6 new recipies to try every month.  I feel better and I'm more motivated to work out when I eat better.

  • I agree with @CatBasu - stick with what you're doing for now and see how things go.

If you really want to do some upper body stuff, maybe grab some 5 pound weights and do some basic moves at home while watching tv.
