I am reading The Bonehunters by Steven Erikson. It has been good so far. It is around forty five for the year. I started and finished Pleasure Unbound in the Demonica series during the week. It was such a fast read. I am looking forward to picking up the next one in the series.

I also picked up Drums of Autumn and was pleasantly surprised by the size.

  • I just this morning finished listening to Dragonfly in Amber, and then I started Voyager.  I hit my school library this morning - she's expecting the delivery of new books today.  If no kids want them, I can take them home for next week - spring break means a lot of reading time.
  • I'm listening to HP and the Goblet of Fire as part of my HP re-read.

I'm reading The Rosie Project and loving it so far.

I started Hyperbole and a Half last night and got about half way.  I've laughed out loud a few times, it's really funny!

They are #35-#37 for the year.

  • I am listening to Feed by Mira Grant and am surprised by how much I am liking it so far.

I just finished a book last night and read the first few pages of Tomorrow Will Be Better by Betty Smith.

  • I'm in the same spot as last week.  Still reading John Adams (but now I only have 30 pages left!), and still listening to The Botany of Desire.

I don't love The Botany of Desire as much as I remember liking it last time around.  I'm really enjoying the section about marijuana, and still really liked the one about tulips, but found myself getting bored with Johnny Appleseed.  Honestly, I think the fact that I'm listening to it now with World Book Night in the back of my mind is giving me anxiety.  I wish I had picked a book that would have had broader appeal.

Adams is for the Presidential Challenge, and these are books 13 and 14 for the year.

  • We, the Drowned by Carsten Jensen.  This book is gorgeously written.

The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines #2) by Richelle Mead.  Freaking Sydney.

The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman.  I am bored out of my mind with this one.  We are reading it for my IRL bookclub.  I can't believe this book is only 300+ pages, it feels like 1,300 pages.

The Harding Era:  Warren G. Harding and his Administration by Robert K. Murray.  Yes, I am still plugging away.  Ugh.

  • I'm reading The Golem and the Jinni. I'm about 25% into it and am enjoying it so far.

    It's #20 for the year.

It gets better. I wasn't blown away by it, but it did get better. I think it's worth seeing through to the end.

    DON'T DO IT!!!
This book was meh for me. Most of it was boring, I didn't like anyone in it, and while the end did get better, it took forever to get through the first half. I was left with conflicted feelings.

If you haven't already, read Tell The Wolves I'm Home instead. (These two are linked in my mind because I read them back to back. Random recommendation, I know. They are in no way similar.)
