Well I went and got Beta's drawn last night. They called with the results this morning, and it was a 6. The Dr is determining that I had a chemical pregnancy this cycle, and all of the clots were me passing it. This makes loss #3. We're doing okay with it, honestly. I'm just thankful we didn't have a BFP.
But I'm more pissed at my Dr than anything. We work with an OB that specializes in IF. He goes all the way up to IVF in his office. So I asked him about progesterone, and that if I ovulate on my own again, can I call in and get a prescription or have it tested. He said that he only does progesterone during medicated cycles, and only after a BFP. Huh? Okay, then did you test for it during my Clomid cycle that resulted in a BFP then M/C at almost 6 weeks? He looked back in my chart, then said "no, and I usually don't on the first round." My response, "so you just let a couple go through multiple losses instead. That's nice."
I also asked about a RLP. He explained to me that it's a very pricey test that my insurance does not cover, and that it usually doesn't give many answers. So he only does them on special cases. He also said that according to his paperwork this is only our 2nd loss, and he does not like to do them until 3. Our first loss was not well recorded with my family Dr, because we were not TTC and I had already passed it and beta's were at zero when I went in to get checked out.
We really aren't sure where to go from here. We're doing the debt payoff so we can afford to move to an RE and do treatment, and to better set ourselves up for the future. So we had decided to continue TTC during that time, and if we got pregnant, then great. If not, then at least we had a plan in place for the next steps. Now I just want to get back on BC and not have to worry about ovulating or getting pregnant and losing yet another one. But I'm so afraid of all the nasty side affects again, and being back at square 1, 18 months from now when we're debt free and ready to move forward with treatment again.

@luckyangel07 That's exactly how I feel about getting back on BC. H told me last night that he doesn't want me to get back on them. He will wear condoms so we don't have to go through this again. But neither one of us wants to stop trying. My body obviously doesn't like creating babies, but when it does, it doesn't want to keep them.
When can I start drinking, eating crap food with gluten in it, and get pregnant on my own and carry it to 9 months? That would be great! Instead of making all of these strict diet and exercise changes, having my body work, but then not able to carry it.

I've learned that there are different schools of thinking regarding progesterone. I left an OB because they didn't believe progesterone was helpful. Some think it is, others think it isn't, and still others find the research inconclusive but recognize that it can't hurt to be given. My next OB did RPL testing, which didn't cost me much of anything, and did clomid, but wouldn't give progesterone until after a BFP. I got one BFP with him and that was a loss. I asked him about Femara over clomid and he told me they were the same. I moved on to an RE, who said that there is a difference between clomid and Femara and that it was possible clomid was increasing my risk of loss. He immediately took me off of clomid. And started progesterone 3dpo.
My point is that I cannot advocate enough for an RE over an OB, even an OB that specializes in IF. It isn't the same, at all. Ob's are trained differently and have a different frame of mind and thinking as a result. Stop going to the OB. Go to an RE or wait until you can. You're going to find the difference to be HUGE. I wish I wouldn't have fucked around with an OB for as long as I did. None of them were as educated as the RE, even though the last one specifically dealt with losses and getting pregnant. Maybe if I wouldn't have screwed around I wouldn't have had the last two losses and would have only had one. I feel I am in much better care with an RE. He understands losses and the process to helping resolve those risks as much as possible.
In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!
T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

@carcrashheart We will no longer be going to that OB. The part that sucks is that the nearest RE is 2.5 hours away. He has a satellite location an hour away, but he utilizes my OB to do the testing and monitoring when he can't. My old insurance also didn't have any IF coverage. So moving to him would've been 100% OOP. Which was our purpose of taking the time to get debt free.
Although I received information yesterday that our new insurance that started March 1st, does have some IF coverage. We have no idea what it does or does not cover, but even if it makes it so the RE's visit is covered, then I'm happy. At least then maybe we can get moved over to him and he can have a better take on progesterone and me doing the PCOS diet to get pregnant. We know that we likely won't do another round of Clomid until we're debt free, but maybe we can have a shot of keeping a baby in the meantime.

Question - Do you have coverage for a naturopath or ever considered seeing one? The reason I ask is because gluten can apparently have strange effects on intolerant people, and it would be interesting exploring diet changes to support pregnancy for you. I have had amazing experience with my naturopath, so I am a huge advocate. Mine also does acu so it's a bit of a one stop shop.
