Is the area you live (or grew up in) notorious for anything?

Re: QOTD 3/18
My hometown really isn't known for much. It's a small town, that branched off of Stillwater "The birthplace of Minnesota." So we all consider ourselves part of Stillwater. It's history is known for lumberjacks and mobsters. The Cure, Grumpier Old Men and a few others were all filmed in Stillwater.
Minnesota as a whole is known form crazy winters, Bob Dylan, Prince, and the movie Fargo. PS. we don't really talk like that...
I grew up in Hudson, OH...so Western Reserve Academy is about it. We have an awesome downtown, green, and clocktower! (so...not super note worthy, but I love it!)
We even had a serial killer, Kendall Francois.
My area also had one of the first major road rage cases where a man was shot and killed on Interstate 84. The person was never caught. The case was featured on Unsolved mysteries and Americas Most Wanted.

It is also the filming location for two sports movies--Slap Shot and All the Right Moves.
Now I'm near the Chesapeake Bay - CRABS!
Otis Elevator used to have a major factory here. Kawasaki took over a lot of it and makes train cars here now.
Hello Dolly and Lost in Yonkers take place here.
