  • I baked chocolate chip cookies two nights ago and am kicking myself for only bringing 3 into work with me today.

  • I was listening to the radio on my way to the office Tuesday listening to all of the crazy people lined up outside stores to buy Frozen (Target has the Blu-Ray on sale for $20).  The radio was saying it was a madhouse and stores everywhere were selling out.  Absolute insanity, on the Black Friday Furby-snatching scale.

I went to Target during my lunch to pick up a prescription and they had completely full displays in several locations around the store.  I have no idea what was going on in the morning.  Was the radio lying?

I'll never understand this. I bought it on Amazon, paid $19.96 for the Blu-Ray, and got it Tuesday. Peeps be crazy. Also, the radio is probably sensationalizing things, and really there were 5people there picking up a copy at one time, and that turned into a crowds and fisticuffs.

  • I just took 40 13-year-olds to the computer lab for 30 min and it was one of the most anxiety-inducing experiences of my life. Seriously, my anxiety is through the roof right now. My kingdom for a Xanax.

Does Frozen live up to the hype?
YES!  I've seen it four times... twice in the theater, and twice since watching it.

  • I'm stubborn.  All the Frozen hype makes me not want to watch it.

  • I played in a staff/student basketball game last night.  I haven't really played since high school, though have played for fun a few times here and there.  By the time it was over, I felt like I was going to either pass out or throw up.  I felt like I had ran a marathon.  Today, I'm sore in the most odd spot... the front of my ankles.  Like, right where the leg meets the foot.  I'm guessing it's from the constant stop and go.

I will admit, that 12 years later, I can still play like I used to.

I've been doing really well at sticking to my workout regiment lately and have improved my diet a lot.  I feel a lot fitter but I still weigh the same.  Its a total buzz kill.  :-<   I'm so tired of chicken breast.  I just want to eat all the macaroni and cheese the world has to offer without gaining a pound.  Is it really too much to ask?
Do your clothes feel different?  Did you take beginning measurements (e.g. - waist, hips, arms, etc...)?  You could be toning up & building muscle at the same time.  That wouldn't necessarily show in your weight.  Are you lifting weights?

And I LOVE Idina, but Let It Go isn't really a very good song. She rocks it, but it's WEIRD.

  • I have what my doctor thinks is a cyst in my left boob. It hurts, it feels tender and hard and weird. I am lying on my couch in just pants with a heating pad on it. This is my second day home miserable. Calling out of work is not fun when you're in pain. :(

But my Frozen DVD came in this afternoon!

I am in the same boat. Workout, eat healthy, no fing sugar in almost 3 weeks. Scale hasn't moved. Just a little change on the scale would go a long way for my motivation!

I didn't take measurements beforehand.  I wish I had.  My clothes don't fit that different.  They were getting a little tighter before and now they fit.  I am definitley more solid than I was before.  I lifted weights regularly for a couple of years mixed with cardio but I've never loved lifting weights.  I stopped and was just doing cardio all the time and I got so soft.  So I've started back up with the weights.  I still do cardio but I think I need to add another day of cardio or do it for 20-30 minutes after my lifting.  I have about ten pounds I want to lose.  Normally I see some movement on the scale one way or the other but it just won't budge.  I've only really started being consistent for about a month so far.  Maybe it just needs more time.

You could be building muscle tone which weighs more than fat so that's why your weight may not show a change.  My husband dealt with that frustration too.  Tip - take pictures of yourself every week.  The scale may not show a difference but a picture will!
