That was definitely interesting. I nannied all through college, and pretty much raised those kids and ran that household. So I have a lot of insight about children and how to handle certain situations. But I will be the first to admit that it wasn't the same as parenting. I knew that I could go home to my own bed at the end of the night, and not have to worry about what was going on there. So I did get a mental break from it. Something that parents don't get.
I loved the part about your "plan." H and I talk about our parenting "plan" all the time. It usually ends with, "we would like to do X, but know and understand that X probably won't happen and will be thrown out the window. But we're okay with that.
