Have you ever been in the situation where one of your close friends or family dated/married a person who was bad news? Like Jail, drugs news...what did you do, did you stand by them?

My brother's ex-wife. I never really liked her but I didn't know HOW bad she was until after they got married. I went to a party of theirs and she almost started a fight with someone because they brought guests! 

Then I started to learn things like that my brother was her third husband, and she basically used marriage to get out of whatever situation she was in. The icing on the cake however, was after she kicked my brother out/divorced him and we learned she had embezzled money from her employer. 

I stand by my brother the best way I know how, but he's always had a thing for crazy women.

My brother dated a girl who eventually we became really close with and her and my brother stayed friends after they broke up. Anyways she had a baby before dating my brother and later on in life she met a guy who had a kid they started dating and had another baby. Then got married and had another and eventually we found out he was doing drugs and drinking a lot!

It was hard to see her go through that with the kids but there was no getting through to her. Eventually things got worse and he started abusing her and she started doing drugs with him. Good thing was he never abused the kids! Her mom tried to get custody of the kids and eventually she got clean and left him.

She met a great guy and they just recently got married and we were able to reconnect with her. There was no getting through to her she never would listen. We seperated ourself from her but we were always her if she needed us.

Yes. My aunt, who is a very flirty person, started dating a crazy guy who went to prison for doing horrible things to the guy who was sleeping with his wife. Like things that include broom handles. WHY?! And no, I don't support her and I keep him away as much as I can.

One of my best friends started dating a guy and he was a total shadeball and her money would go missing etc...well eventually he ended up in jail, she swears he didint do anything, she doesn't really go into detail what happened, but all these horrible stories come out about what he did to ex gfs ...One day she shows up with a ring while he is in jail?! Like you don't just get a ring from jail?! So he is getting out soon and like wants a real wedding and wants me in it?!?! I dont know what to do. Her family doesn't want him anywhere around them.  I don't know what to do. My H doesn't want him in our house, either do I. I don't understand how after 3 mnths of knowing someone and they get put in jail you still want to be a part of it!!!
